For those in need of a quiet vacation where they can really enjoy their mountain surroundings, West Keystone is the perfection location. Set away from the hustle and bustle of the resort, guests can take in the fresh mountain air and the local wildlife.
This region of Keystone is just west of Lakeside Village. The far west side features one of the two premier golf courses in Keystone, The River Course. The Keystone Ranch Course is further southwest on Keystone Ranch Road. The Keystone Stables are at the corner of Soda Ridge and Keystone Ranch Roads. And with trees and mountains as your backdrop, you have access to some beautiful views.
Both golf courses offer dining options. The River Course is open for breakfast, lunch and golf après and there’s a bar. Serving a wide variety of fare including burgers, sandwiches and salads, as well as offering indoor and outdoor seating, this restaurant is sure to appeal to many travelers. The Keystone Ranch Course features an authentic steakhouse set in a 1930s homestead. Serving separate menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this restaurant serves high quality cuisine in an atmosphere of rustic elegance. You’re also a short distance from the dining options at the Mountain House Base Area, and of course, you have access to the entire resort via shuttle.
The lodging in this area falls on either side of Snake River and is south of Highway 6 and west of Lakeside Village. Paths for biking and walking run along Snake River on the north side. If you head east you’ll hit Lakeside Village and then the Mountain House Base Area. Enjoy the convenience of the resort shuttle with six shuttle stops scattered from Starfire, to Flying Dutchman to the Pines complexes. (Please note that the Keystone Shuttle does not service areas farther north, south or west of the Pines.)
