The property was beautiful and our room was very nice. We enjoyed our stay for the price we paid but we would not come back.
-We did not find a single employee at the resort that spoke English.
-The employee break room is in the garage and was just below our room. This was an issue because they gathered in the break room and smoked pot which stunk up the garage and wafted up to our balcony. Pot may be legal in CO but not professional for a resort to allow it's employees to smoke around guests and to work around small children high.
Also, because the room doesn't have AC, you have to have your windows/door open for air flow. This wasn't a problem at night as the evenings are cool and was very comfortable but with the smell of pot coming into our room it was very frustrating.
Although we would not go back for the reasons listed, we would recommend to others due to the low price and others may not care about the issues we had.

We had a fantastic experience in Buffalo Lodge #8391 and would book the same unit again. If it isn't available, we'd book a different unit with Summit County Mountain Retreats, they made the trip easy.

The unit was in a great location, on the 4th floor close to the elevator but tucked in a corner, so hallway traffic was never right at the door. It is quite spacious for a one bedroom and perfect for a couple. The appliances are older but in perfect condition. The king bed had a foam topper that made it quite comfortable.

It is a straight, level walk from Buffalo Lodge to the River Run gondola. The ski school and gear rental is the first thing you pass.

Because the unit faces a large parking lot, there is some vehicle noise, particularly pre-dawn when they plow the lot. We used the background-noise function of a cell phone to mask the vehicle sounds.

The living room furniture was comfortable. Because there were just two of us we didn't use the sofa bed. (The bedding is inside the coffee table.)

The fireplace is gas and activates with a flip of a switch. It warms up quickly and throws quite a bit of heat, which was nice in the morning since we kept the bedroom colder.

The unit keys also open the garage, the lobby, and the ski locker room. If you go to the hot tub bring a key to get back into the lobby.

We didn't use the lobby amenities or the laundry, but both looked nice.

Summit County Mountain Retreats emailed very clear check in directions a week before arrival and again the day of arrival that made check-in a breeze. Our only hiccup was that the garage entrance is just past the "no thru traffic" sign.

We hope to visit again.

This was our second time to stay at the Buffalo Lodge. Because of the time of year, it was a quiet stay. My husband and I are not billiards people, but we enjoyed the community room and played pool every night. We also enjoyed the hot tub--to ourselves. The condo was clean, comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed.

The rental is very nice. I especially enjoyed the fireplace. It was very comfortable and in good shape. The shower seemed a bit weak on pressure, even for a flow reducing showerhead.

The entire complex is very nice and I enjoy staying in them. Close to the slopes and in the middle of the village makes it extremely convenient to pop in and out during the day.

This condo was overall amazing. It was very comfortable, quiet, and the complex was enjoyable. We loved being able to walk downstairs in the mornings and have breakfast right outside the building. Additionally, the pizza place was yummy too and the bar tender was super friendly and nice to talk with.
The condo came equipped with everything we needed - zero complaints.

Condo was very nice! We went to ride our ebikes and location was great! Bed was comfortable, we brought our own pillows so can't comment on pillow comfort. The fridge froze a bit of our food, we turned it down a touch but just keep an eye on that. The kitchen was well equipped, had everything we needed. The pool area was beautiful, we enjoyed sitting there in the evenings.

Spacious nice 4th floor corner unit that over looks River Run parking lot and outdoor spas below from bedroom room window. Has a nice size crockpot for hassle free meals and equipped with all the basic kitchen cooking essentials. Spacious bathroom with a double sink countertop and drawers. Walk to gondola not more than 5mins. Very convenient location for a great value is a plus on this unit.

Overall it was a great experience! Clean, well kept, quiet. The only concern, we had asked for an early check in driving 15 hours straight. We were informed if possible, yes. When we arrived in Keystone we contacted Summit County Retreat, again we were told they would let us know. We were not made aware to ask in person at the office. By chance another renter informed us to check there after we had been waiting for 3 hours. And yes our condo was ready.

Thanks for your feedback! Check in time is at 4pm. When a guest requests an early check in, we do our best to accommodate. However, we do require all units to have an inspection done after housekeeping and prior to the guest being checked in, to ensure the unit is up to code. We are sorry we could not get this guest in as early as they requested. Guests are welcome to come to our office to inquire about early check ins, sometimes they are not always available.

The location for skiing is great. Also there is a skating rink next door so if you have kids bring skates. And there is kids club across the street as well. The pool is nice but you do have to walk outside to get there (or through the parking garage). Also on busy days there is only one elevator that goes down to the parking garage so there can be long waits. Property itself is very well maintained and if not the property managers were quick to respond. They even put in a replacement dishwasher when ours broke. I would stay here again and thought it was a great spot for a family with kids.

It was a great stay. We loved it. It was so beautiful and went perfect with the outdoor scenery. It was a little tough to find the parking garage and even more tough to find the right entrance to our specific building(that sign was not in a good place). We could figure out if we had cable or not but that didnt matter much to us. It was insanely comfy and we loved every minute of it. We are looking forward to going back.

Really enjoy the River Run base area. Unit was great and as described. Enjoyed our stay. Only comment would be that additional/newer bedding be provided. Only found one sheet for the pull out and not all pillows had pillowcases.

This condo was perfect for mom, dad, 9yr and 16yr boys. The walk to lifts is short, the building amenities are awesome, everything is very clean and in perfect working order. We would gladly stay here again and are happy to recommend this condo to others!

The place was clean, had all the kitchen stuff we needed, and was walking distance to the gondola. It was perfect for us. The TV's are tiiiiinnny, but that's not a big deal. We only watched tv to kill time before the lifts opened.

Overall it was good but will say disappointed with all the construction going on in River Run area and so many restaurants, etc. that were closed. We stayed here to be within walking distance of restaurants and shops. We were there for a week and really the only time the majority were open was on the weekends. This unit is also over the parking garage and trash pick up. Very noisy in early mornings.

We were pleasantly surprised to know how close our condo was to everything in the River Run Village. The map made everything seem further away, but it was all within a few minute walk. The space was clean and comfy. We'd love to come back here for our next trip! Highly recommend!

We selected 8391 because it looked really nice in the pictures, and they were 100% accurate. We would definitely stay again! The amenities were great, I especially enjoyed having access to the grill. We cooked in two nights and I grilled both. The convenience to the mountain is great, as is the underground parking. Property management was responsive to our questions and check in/out couldn't have been easier.

We stayed there over memorial day to go skiing on one of the last days A Basin was open. The resort was a bit of a ghost town as keystone is in their offseason mode . That made it a great value and a quiet couple of nights . Loved the place !

Unit was very spacious, kitchen well equipped, location perfect for our family. Also liked that it had a king size bed. However, the living area furniture is worn out and needs to be replaced (sitting on the couch was a challenge because the frame is bent and the entire couch has a downward slant) and the TV in the main living area is not adequately sized. Such a great condo but needs a few necessary maintenance items.

The condo was comfortable and close to the gondola. It was realatively quiet. I enjoyed the upper floor location. The heat was a little difficult to regulate. The gas fireplace didn’t work but we didn’t request a service call. I would stay here again.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We went in August and felt like we had River Run Village all to ourselves. The kids loved the pool and hot tubs and my wife and I loved seeing two moose from our condos balcony. I would definitely stay here again!

rental unit was perfect for our weekend stay. kitchen was fully stocked with hardware and was all very usable. The space was a great size.

The only complaint I would have is that the only fan in the unit is quite small and not very powerful so it had some issues moving the outside air into the unit.

The condo was as advertised. The linens smelled fresh. There were extra pillows and plenty of blankets. The kitchen was well-stocked. As one review said, it is an old condo with old carpet, but everything was clean and comfortable. We relaxed and would certainly booked the unit again.

Room was spacious and comfortable. There are a couple of power outlets on the island and kitchen counter that need to be replaced. They did not work and it was not a GFCI issue.

Overall, I was very pleased. The unit was larger than expected and had a well equipped kitchen. The bathroom had double sinks and a full counter. It was quiet, with only the occasional squeal of bus brakes to be heard, as the bus stops were close to this unit. The walk to the Gondola was not bad. It was very convenient to the activities and restaurants in River Run. There was NOT a key to the in-room safe and management would not or could not get another. The carpeting was in rather poor shape, with rips at the seams and stains, but it was clean. I would rent this unit again.

Loved this vacation Rental! The wife and I love Keystone, so we spend two days staying here and it was great. A mere 3 minute walk to the gondola (maybe 5 in Ski boots) The room was very clean, cozy, and above expectations. Comfy Couch, Comfy Bed, Fireplace, Nice Kitchen.
LOVED that we got access to the hot tubs. Nothings better than a hot tub after a day of skiing! Private Parking and Ski Lockers were a great addition as well!
We will definitely be coming back!

My friend and I had a long weekend stay at the Buffalo Lodge and it was a fantastic experience! The rustic decor was perfect for the setting, and the condo came fully equipped with all amenities we could possibly need (hair dryer, fresh towels, extra pillows & blankets). The condo also had a full kitchen with kitchenware, and even a crockpot! The location was ideal as it was a short (2-3 minute) walk to the Gondola and the Lodge itself was centrally located in River Run Village. The complimentary underground covered parking was also a great touch!
