Thank you for your review!Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
The communication from the start was fantastic. Very easy instructions and texted throughout the stay to be sure that all was going well. The place was clean and had everything needed for the stay. I loved the property except for one thing. The hot tub had so much chlorine it that it burnt your eyes and was almost unbearable to sit in. Taking that out of the equation, I would 100% book this again. Great location and parking. Loved it.Anonymous from Atlantic Beach - Posted: 11/13/2023

Our vacation in Keystone was amazing. The primary reason was the wonderful lodge we stayed in, and the seamless, professional process of using Summit County Mountain Retreats.Anonymous - Posted: 2/25/2023
Thank you for your kind words. We’re grateful for your feedback. It’s our pleasure to provide the best possible service to our guests, and we’re glad that this commitment was reflected in your visit. We look forward to the next time we’re able to serve you again. Have a wonderful day!Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
I absolutely loved the location. The hot tubs were nice and clean. The lodge was clean. There were certain things that needed to be fixed up. For example, the porcelain on the faucet was broken, which isn’t a big deal but it did take away the aesthetic of the place.Anonymous from Colorado Springs - Posted: 2/24/2023
Thanks for your comments and for having selected our property. I’m happy that you enjoyed your stay and we hope to have you back soon as a guest of Summit County Mountain Retreats.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Great location, convenient for shops, restaurants, lifts and many amenities.
But someone else had access to out locker which was worrying form a security point of view. Our ski equipment could have been stolen so we had to keep it in our room. Property services and maintenance are prompt and professional. It's a great place to stay and SCMR staff are usually good at sorting out any issues / problems.Anonymous from FLeming - Posted: 2/23/2023
Thank you for your review. A pervious guest left their items behind and we removed the during your stay providing you access to the ski locker.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
We have used SCMR 3 times now and have been very pleased. No issues at all. This condo is in the perfect location as well. Covered heated parking is a bonus.Anonymous from IMPERIAL - Posted: 12/28/2022
Had some issues with maintenance on the refrigerator & TV. We ended up having to fix them ourselves. The couch & dining room chairs are extremely outdated; carpet in the bedroom is a tripping hazard.Anonymous from Not provided by A-Hotels.com - Posted: 10/10/2022
We thank you for having taken the time to give us an evaluation of your stay. Had we known about the maintenance issues, we would have gladly taken care of this right away. We have not had any other issues with the refrigerator or TV after your stay. We ca send our maintenance team to take a look at the carper in the bedroom to see if it needs to be tacked down. We would love it if you would come back to stay with us again – we have no doubt that the next time you would have the wonderful experience that the vast majority of our guests have.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
We have rented through Summit County Mountain Rentals before we no complaints. This time was a bit different. Upon arrival, we leaned the elevator from the garage was out of order. This should have been brought to guest’s attention ahead of time. My husband recently had ACL surgery and hiking flights of stairs with luggage was a hassle and just unnecessary.
The condo itself was nice, for the most part. The bathroom needs attention. The shower rod is absolute cracked in half and paint and pieces of dry wall were missing in numerous spots.Anonymous from Colorado Springs - Posted: 8/16/2022
We thank you for having taken the time to give us an evaluation of your stay. I’m very sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. All your comments help us improve our service.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
The property management team were very friendly and helpful. Keystone Village is full of wonderful people and beautiful views. The unit was the perfect size for two and nice accommodations. Could use some new bath towels and new towels at the jacuzzi.Anonymous from Grand Junction - Posted: 7/20/2022

Staff at check in were wonderful and very accommodating. The location is great. If looking for a 5 star, this is not it. But if cleanliness, convenience, and normal amenities are what you are comfortable with, this is it. The location and price trumps not having all the fancy stuff. I would stay again. Very happy with the whole resort, village, etcAnonymous from Erie - Posted: 3/6/2022

Condo was as described on line. Underground parking was a great feature. Two elevators servicing all floors made moving in and out of 4th floor condo efficient. Buffalo Lodge lobby was nice place to hangout while waiting for friends. We used the red wagons to transport ski equipment to gondola.Anonymous - Posted: 12/24/2019
The location and amenities of this vacation rental are hard to beat for the price. The room was clean, spacious and an all around great location to stay. Definitely recommend!Anonymous from Castle Rock - Posted: 8/16/2019

Excellent stay. Late check-in was a breeze. Needed to stay an extra night last minute and the management company quickly and easily found us another condo (the one we had was already booked for that night). Late check-out fee very reasonable.Anonymous from Kings Park - Posted: 12/5/2018
It was amazing the room had everything we needed.Anonymous from Aurora - Posted: 6/27/2018
We had some trouble with the keycards that I picked up and had to wait quite a while for assistance, but beyond that, everything else was fine. We liked the cleanliness of the unit and the property overall. The location is wonderful. The parking garage is great. And staff provided good customer service when we called with questions.Anonymous from Arvada - Posted: 3/12/2018
Great communication and easy key pick up. Awesome location. Clean and comfortable condo with a nice view. We had cozy evenings cooking in and relaxing. Amenities were excellent!Anonymous from Jacksonville Beach - Posted: 3/8/2018
This was our first visit to Keystone. Friends recommended Summit County Mountain retreats after their stay. I was able to rent direct through them for less than VRBO advertised. Their communication throughout the process was top notch. Our condo was beautifully appointed. We thought we had an issue with the fireplace (we didn’t), but their maintenance staff was pleasant, responsive and helpful over the phone. Great discounts at the ski rental shop. We loved access to all the amenities at our building and throughout the area. All in all, it an amazing experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone!Anonymous from San Diego - Posted: 2/21/2018

Loved staying here for 3 nights! Beautiful views, great restaurant in walking distance. Place was clean and just perfect for myself, brother and friend.Anonymous from Denver - Posted: 6/26/2017
The kitchen was well equipped, crock pot, large pans. A perfect way to save $ for a family, prepare meals in condo. Room was comfortable and clean. My enjoyed the games. Enjoyed the hot tub and heated pool across the way. The pool table was a disappointment, pool sticks in bad condition, no tips to chalk. Great location, great restaurants near by.Anonymous from Arvada - Posted: 4/3/2017
great time!Anonymous from BOULDER - Posted: 3/15/2017
Overall it is wonderful, although the pickup of the door key was slightly confusing (you do not pick up the key in the same building as the condo, so we ended up taking a shuttle to get the key). This great little condo is within walking distance to the gondola, and has access to soothing outdoor hot tubs. You can walk downstairs to the little Keystone ski village area, where there are fun food, equipment rental and shopping options. Nice kitchen and bathroom, working gas fireplace and small balcony. We loved it, and hope to return again to this unit.Anonymous from ITHACA - Posted: 2/27/2017
Clean, nice room withball accommodations necessary. And only a quick 5 minute walk to the gondola. Also has a really nice chill area with a huge tv and 2 pool tables and 2 hot tube. Definitely recommend. Would love to go back next yearAnonymous from murfreesboro - Posted: 2/19/2017
We enjoyed this condo. Nicely appointed. Great location.Anonymous from CORDOVA - Posted: 12/18/2016
We loved our stay with Summit County Mountain Retreats in Keystone. This condo was exactly what we hoped and it had an incredible view of the mountains to the west.Anonymous from Boulder - Posted: 7/25/2016
Location was great and the condo was very clean and well equipped. We had 3 adults in the room and it was a bit crowded. As with most sofa beds, it wasn't very comfortable but it did it's job. Hot tub was excellent after a full day on the slopes and the pool tables were a nice touch. Overall I would highly recommend as a 3 adult rental or a 2 adult/2 children rental.Anonymous from Louisville - Posted: 4/9/2016
Our stay was fantastic in every way. An excellent location for enjoying the village and mountain. Short, easy walk to the gondola, shopping, dining, everything. Our unit was perfectly clean, cozy, inviting and comfortable. Made our ski weekend such a joy. Awesome hot tub to relax after a day of skiing. Highly recommend!!!Anonymous from Brazil - Posted: 2/20/2016
We spent 4 nights in the Buffalo Lodge #8396 in the heart of Keystone Village, and really enjoyed our stay. The room was nice, could have used a bit more storage space for clothes, but we DID over-pack a bit! Was close to the lifts, bars/restaurants,and shopping.Anonymous from Ponchatoula - Posted: 1/23/2016
Spend 2 days at this condo in Buffalo Ridge at Keystone. For the price, this condo is very worth it. It is in the center of action with shops and food below and the lifts only a few minutes walk away. The condo itself was nice, but could use updating. The fold-away couch bed's mattress need to be replaced badly.Anonymous from Castle Pines - Posted: 1/12/2016
The place was great. Exactly as advertised.Anonymous from Norwood - Posted: 8/7/2015
Great little unit for our small family. Proximity is fantastic to the slopes and all amenities in River Run. Clean and well kept place.Anonymous from Denver - Posted: 12/28/2014

For such a premium location and premium rental I was surprised to find that the in room WiFi was non-existent.Anonymous from Ballwin - Posted: 4/17/2014
It was very nice. Walking distance to the slopes ,shopping and restaurants. They had small wagons you could borrow for free to help carry skis and boots to and from slopes. Short driving distance to ski rental shop. The condo was in the center of it all and had it all.Anonymous from Washington - Posted: 3/10/2014

After losing a baby in 2011 and welcoming our second living child in 2012, we were looking toward our first family vacation this October 2013. We arrived to the spectacular beauty of Keystone, CO and knew we picked the right spot to experience a most special and rejuvenating time as a family. Unfortunately, our baby developed hypoxia/altitude sickness and we were given doctors' orders to take her to lower altitude in Denver. Summit Co staff were wonderfully helpful in referring us to an Emergency Room where our baby was treated for dangerously low oxygen levels and treated with exceptional care. We are thankful for this referral. Before departing Keystone, we briefly visited the condo in Buffalo lodge to retrieve a few non perishable groceries that Peak Provisions so kindly delivered and to distribute perishables to some vacationers we met in the lobby (we hated to see such beautiful food go to waste). During our brief encounter with the condo, we found it to be immaculately clean and well furnished with a marvelous view of the resort and mountains. It was cozy and would have made the most lovely vacation home away from home. We were very disappointed to have to leave it unoccupied; however, we were thankful for our daughter's health and stayed focused on taking her to lower ground. The only negative aspect in re to the rental is that we will not be refunded our money. We failed to purchase the trip insurance. So we lost our $400+ rental and fees and also had to pay another $400+ for accommodations in Denver. We saved for a year to take this trip, so we are disappointed that something couldn't be worked out per the emergent nature of our departure. We have no doubt, though, that if our baby had not developed hypoxia/altitude sickness this trip would have been perfect! We hope to return someday for our dream vacation per our children's and financial health. We highly recommend Summit County Rentals, and we highly recommend trip insurance.Anonymous from Danville - Posted: 10/14/2013
I thoroughly enjoyed staying this past weekend. Quiet and relaxing. Thanks again.Anonymous from Denver - Posted: 8/28/2013
We were just married and can't get away for a longer time for several months. We decided to drive up to Keystone. We were there 4 nights but in such a short time we totally relaxed, hiked and walked. It's so close to Lake Dillon which is a short drive and is spectacular. The condo was comfortable and the balcony was so nice to sit out and have our coffee in the morning. I would recommend this property to a couple wanting quiet time away.Anonymous from Colorado Springs - Posted: 8/21/2013

This single bedroom with a pull out is a little tight on space, but it is adequately equipped to accommodate a family of four. The kitchen is nice and you can't beat the location - right in the middle of Keystone. The downstairs lounge area with 2 billiards tables, hot tubs, fridge, living room furniture is sweet!Anonymous from Longmont - Posted: 4/5/2013

We stayed at the Buffalo Lodge in the River Run Village at Keystone from March 6-10, 2013. The condo was very nice and comfortable for the three of us. Looks just like the pictures. The location is perfect and we enjoyed the village and shops. The building was not crowded and was very quiet. The underground parking, ski lockers, and hot tub facilities were all convenient and easy to access. Everything was as represented in the web site. The only challenge we had was accessing the WiFi at night. Signal was not real strong. A good experience and we would stay there again in the future.Anonymous from Menasha - Posted: 3/12/2013
My first experience was with the property mgmt. I called regarding the rate. Was told they would call RIGHT BACK. An hour later, no call. I called again and was told 5 mins. No call. So, I booked the room online instead. Not a good start. On the down side: the carpet was, surprisingly, quite dirty. I understand skiing season and the dirty garage contributes to this greatly. The internet signal strength was miserable. 2 to 3 of 5 bars at best. Unusable 70% of the time. Couch was very uncomfortable as it is a sofa bed. On the upside: Great location, only a few minutes walk to gondola or shuttle, great gas fireplace, nice view of mountains and overlooking skating rink, kitchen well supplied but bring own cooking oil, butter, condiments, etc...only thing there was salt. Comfortable king bed. Had queen sheet on, sideways...kinda strange. Many, many channels on tv. Excellent access from underground garage to ski lockers and rooms. Very nice rec room with two pool tables, usually available. Nice hot tubs. Rate was great! Overall, I would certainly stay here again. With a few minor improvements, I would have no complaints at all!Anonymous from Gilbert - Posted: 3/5/2013
Thank you for staying with Summit County Mountain Retreats! We appreciate fair and honest reviews. We agree that most of your issues should not have happened. By way of an explaination (not an excuse) you booked during the absolute peak time and this year was much busier than the past several. Thus, this pushed our staff to the limits and some things were not as good as the should have been. We apologize for any inconvienence! Regarding a couple of your specific comments, we are working on improving the Internet. The sofa bed was recently serviced, but we will check it again. We do clearly state in our rental agreement that cooking supplies are NOT provided due to saftey concerns. Overall though, we completely agree that you should have had a better experience with our service. We can and will do better!Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Beautiful accommodations & amazingly convenient location!Anonymous from Deephaven - Posted: 1/29/2013
Thank you for staying with us!Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
The condo was dusty and the sofa bed was broken so the kids had to sleep on an air matress. The carpet was very dirty, which made sleeping on the floor unpleasant. The condo amenities were good though. The only complaint I had is that every day when I went downstairs to the common area, the cleaning staff was cleaning with a very strong, odorous chemical, so I couldn't stay down there too long. Downstairs was the only area where I could get the wifi to work.Anonymous from Edmond - Posted: 1/7/2013
I started skiing about 10 years ago when I was old enough to pick and pay for my own vacations. I fell in love with the mountains and have been going to different resorts since. This year was my first time in Keystone and I have found the perfect combination of everything. The mountain is amazing. The condo was very nice, even without ski slope views it was great to look at the mountains and watch the ice skaters. I found the management company to be friendly and helpful. Dawn, Kate and Kris was especially helpful. I will be back next year and will most likely request this condo.Anonymous from CORDOVA - Posted: 1/5/2013

I'll start with the exceptional, helpful, and frindry staff; they made the booking process enjoyable and seamless. We had a forth floor room with super views of the Aspen coverd slopes which were beautiful. Our room was furnished nicely with a full kitchen and there was even wine and chocolates waiting when we arrived! WE thuroughly enjoyed our stay.Anonymous from Colorado Springs - Posted: 10/9/2012
This was a great location to access the outdoors as well as restaurants within walking distance. It was low-key and provided a DVD player and kitchen for a night in watching a movie and cooking dinner. I would recommend this location.Anonymous from Loveland - Posted: 8/23/2012
Hi, The only issue I had with the rental was that I did not realize "Summit County Mountain Retreats" was a rental company. It was very unclear to me that our hotel was actually by a different name. This caused frustration when my husband and I tried to use our GPS to get to the area. The address you offer does not come up in a Garmin, your "resort" was not the resort name, and when I look back at ALL of my paper work I do not recognize the resort name at all. It would be very helpful to sight the physical address and formal name of the hotel on the receipt. This would eliminate the frustration.
Also, when frustrated on a Sunday afternoon there is nobody to contact as your direct number has limited coverage. We felt somewhat helpless!
We finally figured things out and enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.Anonymous from Epping - Posted: 7/27/2012
Since this property is located in the mountains, navigation systems do not always show proper directions. We e-mail detailed directions to each guest, and the e-mail asks the guest to make sure to print the attachment as directions are included. The lodge name and number are included on your rental agreement and receipt. We are sorry this was not clear. We do have 24/7 maintenance, but after hours calls are taken by on call staff, and thus it is possible that on a Sunday afternoon a return call will be delayed. We do have staff in the office during regular business hours 7 days a week. Just to clarify, Summit County Mountain Retreats is the manager for the owner, and we do not rent hotels. We rent privately owned condos in the Keystone resort. We are always happy to assist our guests, but the service and experience we offer is different from a hotel.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Sorry just too small for 4 people. need to update tv's and get rid of tv cabinets to provide more room. we had to move the dining table every night into the kitchen to sleep.

Our condo was awesome, the ability to have my son walk out w/ his boarding gear and go right to the slopes was so covenient. The Condo fit us perpectly and was very pretty. If we had to say anything it would be; clean the furniture and cushions more, I dropped a pillow on the floor from the chair and so much dust came off of it, the shower head definitely needs to be updated and the vent in the bathroom was covered with dust as though it hadn't been cleaned in years. Thank you for the ability to let you know these things.Anonymous from Littleton - Posted: 4/1/2012
Perfect place for my wife and I to have a vacation away. But it also would have worked for our small family too. Would love to return anytime of year!Anonymous from Franklin - Posted: 2/17/2012
