Keystone is a great base for a week of hiking all around Summit County.
this condo was quiet, with a view of the mountains from the porch. the pool and hot tub were perfect after hard hikes. the bed is super comfy and the kitchen has everything you could need for a week.

This is a nice little condo for a brief 2-person stay. It is a short walk to the gondola. The condo felt a bit tight with the bulky furniture (and Christmas tree) in the small space. The kitchen had nice appliances and was well stocked with dishes, glasses and cookware. The multiple construction areas across the street were loud during the day, but hopefully those are completed before next ski season.

Did you have a good overall stay? Yes
Was the vacation rental in a great location? Yes!
Was the home clean and in good shape? Clean but appliances and cookware were very dated and difficult to use. TV in bedroom did not work and batteries need replacement in all remotes. Several window shades throughout were broken. Good size bathroom. Plenty of towels. Parking space in garage was very nice to have.

Dakota Lodge was the perfect place for us to stay during our week in Keystone. We came into town as total newbies, skiing the Rockies for the first time. The space was clean, easy to access, and had everything we needed. The main office was very nice and allowed us to check in slightly early, even though we hadn’t requested it, which was a huge relief.

We loved the convenience of the location and the amenities, including the hot tub, sauna, and ski lockers. Everything we needed, from supplies to groceries to the gondola and even restaurants, was within a 5 minute walk. We would definitely stay again.

Nice condo. Frequent and clear communications were received that included details on checkin, local restaurants/grocery stores, and reminders.

Was a bit difficult to locate unit within building when I arrived (who knew a unit with 8 thousand numbering would be on second floor?!?) l was not able to access trash room in garage the day I departed-as required per check out instructions (yellow light appeared on keypad when tapping with keycard and door would not open.)

Our check-in was a bit rough, since the elevator in our building was out of order and there wasn't any advance notice or signage to let us know. In spite of saying that an "emergency crew" would be in to do repairs, we didn't see anyone working on it the entire time we were there. There was virtually no storage space for clothes or personal belongings, the pillows smelled like the last guesst's after shave and about half of the space on the deck was taken up by the BBQ grill.

Thank you for your review and much valued feedback. It was unfortunate that the elevator was out during this guest's stay, this is something we do not manage and have no control over, but we do work diligently with the HOA to get updates daily about closures.

Summit County Mountain Retreat stay at the Dakota was exceptional. Not only was the room comfortable and cozy we were in the heart of downtown Keystone. Property was clean and bed was comfortable. Check in was very easy, we rented a car, the car was very helpful when checking in and exploring outside of Keystone. We headed to Vail one evening to visit friends and family and into Frisco to try some seriously good gluten free fried chicken. Check in was located about a 3-5 minute drive away from the Dakota. It was extremely easy and the workers at the Summit County Mountain Retreat where very accommodating, even allowed us an early check in! Our ski rentals at the Norski Sport Rentals was located right behind the Dakota, getting our skis and returning was a breeze. Dakota was a 5 minute or less walk to the lifts. There were so many food options located right next to the Dakota. My boyfriend is gluten free and almost everywhere in town had options for him as well, just a 1 minute walk from the Dakota. Making it so easy to grab breakfast before you hit the slopes for the day and after once you finish up. Such an amazing time, thank you Summit County and The Dakota for an amazing first time in Keystone, CO! Highly recommend staying at the Dakota.

We really liked this condo. Its in a perfect location about 5 minute walk to gondola/lifts and right next to shops & restaurants. The condo itself is well furnished and very clean. The heated pool and hot tubs were also very nice. We take at least 4-5 ski trips every year and this is now one of our favorite rentals.. we would definitely stay again!!

We enjoyed our stay at Dakota Lodge. Very convenient to the gondola and all the village amenities. The unit was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. Communication with the property manager was excellent and parking was convenient.

The rental was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we needed with the exception of towels. We were there for a little under a week and had four towels for the two of us, so two towels each.
We went to go get more from the locker but each time we went the towels had already been taken.
The fireplace was AMAZING. Location was AMAZING. It was super quiet!
The sauna was hit or miss and had to be reset a number of times and one the hot tubs stopped working so the second hot tub was packed.
Glad we chose a unit on the second floor because the elevator is pretty slow so we ended up using the stairs a lot.
Might want to replace the shower head. It doesn’t work well or produce hot water on two of the three settings.
Summit County Mountain Retreats was FANTASTIC!! Always responded so quickly. The directions to get into the unit was super easy! Couldn’t have asked for an easier process!

We found a cute little place right in the heart of the square. Walking steps to the gondola, plenty of food places and shopping. Very clean and perfect for 2 adults or a family with younger kids as the couch is the second pull out bed. Loved it!!

It was my first time in Keystone, CO. I loved Dakota Lodge as it's very clean and convenient to walk to the ski resort. Only thing if I could change is for the hottub to be indoors..but not such a big deal.

We really enjoyed this cozy condo. The bed was very comfortable. The view from the balcony is great and the outdoor grill was a nice benefit. Very clean. the only downside is that there is no overnight parking for a second vehicle.

Unfortunately, per Keystone Resort, we are only allowed 1 parking permit for this vacation rental. We do not have additional parking passes available. If guests have additional vehicles we recommend speaking with our staff directly and we can help you find the paid overflow parking in Keystone. This information is also provided in the digital guide book that is sent to guests prior to arrival.

I've stayed in River Run many times. This condo was my least favorite.

What didn't go well:

1) Blinds -- When we first walked into the unit, I went over to the sliding door to open up the blinds. I pulled the cord and the entire thing fell on my head. These are very heavy blinds.

2) Linens -- close to bedtime we opened the sofa bed to find we needed to add all of the linens. The closet in the bedroom only had 2 blankets -- no sheets and no pillow cases. We had to call maintenance to get sheets but they did not bring pillow cases so we used towels.

3) WiFi -- the TV in the living room was a nightmare. The wifi would not connect, there were so many remote controls we didn't know what to do. We literally spent an hour trying to get the TV working but never did. This, coupled with the linens, did not make for a smooth bedtime with kids. We never got the TV to work.

Miscellaneous:
- The stove range did not work very well, it seems like it needs more power or something. Boiling pasta took an hour.
- Something that could have helped is a door stop for carrying in luggage and children.
- The fireplace can't be used when the sofa bed is out since it opens up practically into the fireplace. Also, you have to climb over the bed when it's open to get across the room.
- Maybe move the 2 bare Christmas trees to make more room?
- The cabinet to access the garbage can is really annoying and inconvenient, especially for kids.
- There isn't anywhere to put clothing except on the floor.

What went well:
We enjoyed the location and view. The unit was clean. The pool and jacuzzi were enjoyable and close to the unit.

Had we known about the blinds prior to your stay, we would have had this addressed by our maintenance team to avoid what happened to you- which we are very sorry to hear the blinds fell on you. Had you reported these maintenance issues (blinds, wifi, etc) during your stay, we would have sent maintenance. Nevertheless, we’ll surely communicate your feedback to our team. We would love it if you would come back to stay with us again – we have no doubt that the next time you would have the wonderful experience that the vast majority of our guests have.

Well appointed corner unit condo, located in the village with easy walk to the gondola. The mattress feels a little tired and could use replacement, otherwise, very convenient and very comfortable stay. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Finding a mattress that satisfies the mass amount of renters we see is just not possible, but we do like to see every guest comfortable during their stay.
