Had a great long weekend. Close to slopes great common amenities.. Elevator is a little slow during peak times. Good space for 3 or 4 persons, would try for any more. Would return again!

This condo was perfect. Clean, updated, well appointed. The location is perfect, as it is just next to the village, so walking to the gondola, or to get food, etc. is just a few steps. Observations:

1. Dedicated indoor parking in a heated garage is an amazing feature.
2. There is only one elevator, so it can get crowded at times. Just remember, you are on vacation.
3. The management company was excellent. We had two minor issues, and both were resolved with a simple text message. A humidifier and the hair dryer died mid week and both were replaced within an hour.
4. The view is fantastic, especially if you like people watching with your morning coffee.
5. The mattresses were great.

For reference, we are a family of three.

This condo was comfortable and quiet and had great views. The beds have firm memory pads on them (both the king and the Murphey queen) and they're both comfortable! We slept very well. We used the two humidifiers, as the Colorado mountains are incredibly dry. We were glad to have them! We also used the box fans to pull the cool evening air inside in the bedroom and living room. Kitchen had what we needed to make some meals. We enjoyed the balcony every morning and evening! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would rent this unit again. The pool and hot tubs were wonderful! We enjoyed swimming and relaxing down there every day. The condo is walking distance to fun shops and restaurants in the Keystone Square! We grabbed coffee every morning and walked along the river over by the slopes/gondolas. The location is really perfect for enjoying Silverthorne, Dillon, Breckenridge, Frisco and more as everything is about 20 mins away. Would definitely recommend to a couple or a family looking to stay in Keystone!

Nothing but positive things to say about our stay! The shared living space is larger than it appears in the pictures. We very comfortably slept 4 but certainly could've slept more. The location absolutely can't be beat. All beds were very comfortable. Plenty of towels to go around. Unfortunately we didn't get to try out the hot tub, but it looked great. A perfect weekend getaway.

Overall the unit was great for my family of 5. The sleep sofa was the most comfortable I’ve ever laid on. Murphy bed and master bed are memory foam, which we liked. The unit was clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen.

The property is clean and conveniently located. It is a good size.

I had a problem the first night as I arrived late, and found the property freezing cold. I noticed that the door to the balcony was open, so closed that. I found the switch to turn on the fire, but the fire was set to low, and there were no instructions on how to turn up the heat. The first night I was quite cold. I only discovered the next morning when I could see that one of the bedroom windows was open. I could not see that in the night as there were only 2 bedside lights in the bedroom, no main light.

Other than the problems of the first night, I had a good stay. I worked out how to turn up the fire, so the property was then very comfortable.

But it would be a good idea to ensure that all doors and windows are closed for each new guest in future.

The property itself is great. It is not "a penthouse", it just happens to be on the top floor. My issue began when I opened the property door and a splinter went into my hand. The next day I discovered that there were no oven mitts. I had to use dishtowels to pull a hot glass casserole dish out of the oven and it slipped and shattered all over the floor. When I text Summit County prop mgmt, regarding the splinter from the door, the broke screen door and lack of oven mitts, dustpan and mop & requested housekeeping to clean up the broken glass, they stated that they would send up some mitts and a dustpan. I received a broken broom with a dustpan 8 hrs later but never received the oven mitts. The prop mgmt co was less than stellar. The condo was great, but the prop mgmt made my stay a bit miserable. My family stepped on glass more than once & the company should be thankful I do not pursue damage costs. I will never rent from the Summit County Mountain Retreat property company again.

The location is amazing with beautiful views. There was a dirty toilet bowl wand and plunger dripping brown along the wall and floor. The spare blankets in the closet were dirty and piled on top of a dusty vacuum and dirty broom and the kitchen was full of glasses that were covered with lipstick marks. Furthermore there is a strict 5pm check in and 10am check out so you are paying for an extremely short stay. Unresponsive and incredibly rude management team running this apartment.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the location and the views this property has to offer. We are sorry that you did not enjoy the rest of your stay. These complaints were brought to our attention after the guest checked out. The guest did not have any photos of the cleaning issues they reported. However, we require all of our housekeepers to take photos of the property after they have completed cleaning the unit and we do not have any evidence of the guests claims either. Furthermore, looking at our records our staff was never in direct contact with these guests at they were using their 3rd party booking site to contact us about the issues.

Great location close to all the amenities. This place was so well thought out. Beautiful decor! Had everything we needed. Loved the beanbag chair under the skylight. Spent a lot of time there looking at the clouds. Beds were super comfortable! Pool and hot tubs were located on 1st floor and have a beautiful view of the mountains.
Only negatives were the screen door wouldn’t open and close. The elevator in building sounded like it was breaking when it got to the 5th floor.
This was the second time I booked a place with Summit and have good experiences both time. Highly recommend.

This condo was an excellent place to stay while visiting Summit County for some spring skiing & hiking. I've stayed multiple times in the Dakota and nearby Buffalo & Expedition complexes in the past, and was aware that May is a very quiet time in the building and not much would be open for business, but The Crepe Stand and Rockin' R Ranch Trading Post in the village were open, and a short drive to nearby Goat Soup & Whiskey Tavern. And close to A-Basin, Dillon, & Frisco. The rate was very good, about the same as a hotel in Dillon for a condo! The bed was perfect for me (a comfortable memory foam mattress) and the place was exceptionally clean, everything was very good with kitchen & bathroom, gas fireplace, wifi & satellite TV, parking & elevator. The info provided and communication with SCMR was excellent, with the exception of not knowing in advance that the pool & hot tub & sauna would be closed. I understand it's off-season and maintenance needs to be done, but none of the three Dakota units I researched before booking mentioned the closure in their info, even though the sign on the pool door said closed May 1-15, and I'd booked on May 1. I actually did get a call from SCMR - when I was an hour away from arriving in Keystone, how was that helpful? If I'd have known earlier I would've arranged for a unit at one of the many other complexes that had functioning pools & hot tubs. A somewhat minor thing, but in the future I'll make a specific inquiry to verify, prior to booking. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay in Keystone.

The unit was awesome for a few friends to share during a snowboard/ski trip! Lots of walkable amenities, plenty of space to lounge when not in the slopes. Ski lockers and hot tub are great touches! It was also very clean and well maintained!

We loved this condo. It was very clean and plenty of room to move around. My husband and I loved the king bed. Many condos don't have beds bigger than a queen. The kitchen had everything it needed for at least 4 people. The rental company was very responsive via text and the check-in process was clear. There are two things that would've made it betterL 1. Since we rented in the off season, I wish Summit County Mountain Rentals would've warned us that all of the restaurants/grocers would be closed in Keystone during our stay. This was our first time in the area and we didn't know where to go or where the other mountain towns were. Fortunately, Dillon is only ten minutes away. 2. This is minor but I wish they would've supplied a larger shampoo/conditioner-enough for two showers. Again, it's a small thing.

This condo is in the perfect location, right in River Run. The condo was clean and comfortable. My only suggestion is the sheets were not very soft and the pillows were ok. It would have been nice if the King bed had a comforter.

I would stay here again. The condo was very clean and comfortable the location fit our needs for exploring. The only downside was there are no ceiling fans for air circulation. As many know there is no AC in Colorado. Also this is not the fault of the rental but the elevator was out the whole week we were there. This condo is located on the 5th floor. This was an inconvenience for sure. But otherwise great condo and location.

Our stay at Dakota Lodge was fantastic. Everything was as described in the listing. The condo was spotless, bright, comfortable and had everything we could ever need. We stayed for 2 weeks and so ended up cooking in the condo quite a bit. We were never without anything we needed in the kitchen. The management is responsive and communicative throughout the stay. The location was great too, right in the heart of keystone. Even though much of the resort was closed being off season, the crepe shop was all we needed. I highly recommend it.

Nice condo for two people. Not enough storage for clothing for longer stays or more people. Had a few small maintenance issues: TV controller batteries were dead, light bulb in the bedroom was out, and the curtain rod on the sliding glass door needs a stopper so it doesn't come apart and fall down. The kitchen was good but needed more storage containers for leftovers. There is only one elevator in the building, which is very slow, so there are long waits sometimes to get to the 5th floor.

The location of this unit is perfect. Right in the heart of the village. Walk to nearby restaurants and slopes. The unit is beautifully furnished and has everything you need. The amenities on site (hot tub/sauna) are awesome and the perfect thing to use at the end of a long day on the slopes. Underground garage parking is so convenient. I would highly recommend this unit!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property in Keystone. The place was perfect size for my family of 3 and was very comfortable. The property was clean upon arrival and kitchen well stocked. Property was updated and affordable. We stayed during the beginning of Mud season (mid September)so Keystone was quite and most business closed, however, I found this nice and relaxing. A short drive to Frisco, Breck or Silverthorne will give anyone enough eating options and activates to keep you busy.

We had no problems checking in or finding the room with directions that were given. The view from the balcony shows the mini golf course with gorgeous mountains behind. Sun sets on the right side from the penthouse balcony and it's quite beautiful, should you catch it. Everything was spotless, very homey and could see there was enough room for our teenage son if he would've come. Tv was easy to function, there were no funky tricks but there are 2 controllers. The bathroom was spacious but there's always a fan going and no way to shut it up or off. The bed was comfortable, but probably needs a small amount of padding. We didn't sleep seamlessly but it definitely kept us longer in the morning in it. Parking is clean and safe under the lodge but the elevator is slow, be warned. Our only complaint was the neighbor's very loud, late arrival and screaming small children next door on our last night. For God's sake, I wish the walls were thicker for moments like that. Understandably, 2 rooms were happy once they fell asleep and no further issues arose. Overall, we had a marvelous vacation at SCMR for the second time. Thanks for having us!

we really enjoyed the proximity of this location to ski school, the gondola, and the ski village. We did not take advantage of the pool but it looked like fun. The place was very comfortable, very spacious and well appointed. It had all of the necessities for our stay. The seat over by the roof light was a nice touch. You actually felt like you were in another room. However the beds were on the hard side. You would think a long day of skiing, you could sleep on anything but not so. My only recommendation is get a pillow top for the master bed.

Newly renovated and well done. Two large beds with comfortable mattresses. Kitchen well supplied and bathroom is comfortable. Very close to gondola and river run village and pool and jaccuzi are nice. Check in/out a breeze. Heated parking is nice.
Negatives. Elevator is pretty slow and you can feel forgotten about. Large jacuzzi not hot when we were there. Parking spots are small.

The condo was a perfect fit for our family of four. Just as pictured and great location. We found it difficult to heat the bedroom and there weren’t any spare blankets, so unfortunately we had four very cold and sleepless nights. The kitchen wasn’t well-cleaned upon arrival - there were dirty spoons in the silverware drawer and the last guest’s leftover (opened, messy) food in the cabinet. Easy fixes if someone is listening!

Absolutely love this place and Keystone. My only grievance (which was strong) is the obnoxious disobedience regarding CO's pot laws (all for the tax revenue, don't drink or do drugs...yes potheads, we do exist) - the entire condo complex smelled like pot from sun up to sun down, as do lots of places, though as I understand it, smoking pot in public is NOT legal. I guess potheads are above the law. Is it cool to shoot my 9MM straight up in the sky (not legal) and just hope everyone accepts it? No, that's nonsense. So potheads, please take your pipes and go somewhere where non-smoking is not posted all over the place like Dakota Lodge has - so message to resort - enforce the law and your signs, or don't waste my frustration seeing them as it's obviously just for show..... That was literally the ONLY thing that gives me pause in returning - and I know a TON of people to spread my good or sorrowful words about vacations. It was a big bummer and the reason our next trip from the East Coast in the next 2 months will probably be to Utah. Though I'm not of their faith in that state they are militantly against drugs, so maybe now even our vacations will have political and ideological lines of demarcation as we're all getting more and more divided. Saddens me frankly, but heck, I'll take my former slalom racing skills to a place that obeys laws and aligns with my beliefs I guess a bit better.

There is a bit of a scavenger hunt to get into/to the rental. We had fun with the instructions. Our rental was so cute and had a great view of the ice rink. It was clean and spacious. The king sized bed is extremely firm, so I only remmcend it if you like that. Overall, great stay.

The space was perfect for our needs and the condo was equipped with the basic necessities. The location was great. The management was very quick to help when our key stopped working and we were locked out of the condo. The cleanliness of the kitchen could have been better. I pulled a plate out of the cupboard and it had butter all over the back if it. It had been stacked on a plate with butter on it and placed back in the cupboard. Also found a dirty bowl. The stove also needs updating as none of the burners sit properly on the stovetop.

The rental was in a great location, 4-5 min walk from the River Run gondola, and worked great for our three adults. The size was surprisingly large for a one bedroom. We have stayed at other condos in River Run that feel much smaller. Every room is a good size - kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. My only complaint was that the Murphy bed was not very comfortable. Very convenient, but not very comfortable. Our keys had an issue where the garage/building side didn't work, only the room side, so someone had to let us in the garage when we first arrived. We called property management, who delivered new working keys to us within 30 minutes. Great experience overall.

The condo is in a great location. We love how River Run is set up with all the condos right there. This particular condo is nice enough. Spacious. The carpet needs to be replaced and it was really dusty. Our allergies flared up and you could see the dust. Being on the top floor gives you a great view, but with only one slow elevator going up and down is a challenge. The management company made the process very smooth. Check in was extremely easy. The price was good and the overall stay was good too.
