Expedition Station #8565

I normally don't complain, but this is one time too many. We've used this company for years and the level of customer service has declined significantly. Once again, 3 days before our stay that was booked months before, we find out that a major amenity-the hot tub-won't be available. Was told they'd look into some refund, but haven't heard anything from them and don't expect to.

No hot tub availability, no similar unit offered. No discount on pricing due to not having this amenity, just blame it on the HOA. This exact thing has occurred often enough on our stays with this company that my wife even joked 'well, do you think the hot tub will be working'? before our stay.

TV remotes with dead batteries in two of the three rooms. Had to go buy some.

Fireplace not working upon arrival. Called at 6pm and was told it would be the next day before someone could respond.

What, exactly, is the $30.00 'Inspection Fee' for?

Prior stay at another building had the hot tub and grill not working. I was aware of the hot tub, the grill never got fixed in 6 nights. Called repeatedly and was told I'd need to contact building management. Pretty sorry excuse for customer service to tell the customer that they need to arrange having a working grill.

On that stay they actually called me at 10:30am to ask if I'd be interested in an early check-in. I was nearby so I said yes, I'm absolutely interested in that. Told me they'd call when the unit was ready. So I waited for the call. Called back around 1pm to ask if it was ready and was told they'd need to check with the housekeeper. No call back. Called again around 2:30pm and was told 'yeah, it's been ready for awhile now.' Go to their office at 3:15 to check in and the person has the nerve to want to charge me $15 for early check in at that point. In summary, THEY reached out to me on an early check in and 5 hours later I've still never heard back from them, on a Tuesday,

We do apologize that this was your experience during your stay, unfortunately these amenities are something completely outside our control and we did notify the guest as soon as possible and this is also clearly listed in our Rental Agreement the guest agreed to. We also provide batteries in all of our units for remotes, this guest also called our after hours emergency line to discuss the fireplace we after 6pm and unfortunately we were not able to go until the following day. Lastly, we did notify this guest the moment the unit was available, did not charge them an early check in fee, and also offered a couple bottles of wine.

We had a great stay. The location was perfect for what we were doing. With access to the pool and hot tub as well as the shops, it made our time easy and relaxing.

Perfect location from which to explore numerous hiking mountains. Plenty of extra activities very close as well. The condo was very clean, quiet, and well-stocked with everything my son and I needed throughout our week-long stay.

We were very happy with the condo. It was a lovely home away from home. The kitchen was perfect for family meals and the beds were extremely comfortable. The pool was a nice area to relax. We would enjoy staying in this condo again.

This condo was exactly as described. It was a perfect setup for my friend and I trying to escape the Denver heat. We stayed mid-week which meant that the resort was very quiet, but that is exactly what we had hoped for. Easy check-in, communication via text, etc. We had no problems or issues during our trip.

The condo was beautiful but did not have any dressers in either bedroom to put clothes way which is important in a 1 week stay. Also very far from the laundry facilities in bldg which were not all working.

My husband and I rented this condo with another couple for two nights while skiing at Keystone. Great location - we could walk to the gondola and lots of shops/places to eat all in walking distance. Loved using the hot tub and heated pool after a day of skiing. Condo was clean and a perfect size for our stay. The heated garage parking was a definite plus!

The house was just as described. Plenty of room for a group of 3 to relax and unwind after a day on the slopes. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils to cook a complete meal. Bathrooms were fully stocked with towels and a starter set of toiletries. The ski locker has enough room for 2 sets of skis and a snowboard, but the boots had to be brought to the condo.

The only strange thing about the rental was that there is no door separating the master bedroom from the sink/shower area. Kind of a hassle when one person wakes up before the other. Luckily, there is a door separating the toilet area. All in all, not a show stopper, just an inconvenience.

The unit is about 1/3 of a mile from the lifts.

First off, the condo was nice. Being physical fitness minded, we chose this property over many others because it was advertized with a pool and fitness room, neither of which were open. I won't stay here again.

Our family had a wonderful time at this property. It was very easy to find, the setup was perfect and the distance to the lifts / gondola was within 5-10 minutes. We enjoyed the full kitchen for most meals and the hot tub / heated pool after the runs closed and or off day. We would highly recommend this property and will consider this again for our family.

Everything from booking to check out was great. The condo was perfect for our needs and clean and well kept. Kitchen was useful and we enjoyed having meals there instead of always eating out. Best part was how close we were to the lifts. Short walk and they were right there. I hope there is availability every year so we can come back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Expedition 8565. We've stayed at properties throughout Keystone, but we think we found a new favorite. Absolutely loved the location of this unit with views of the slopes, easy walk down the the Snake River or to River Run Village.

I would suggest bringing your keys to the office and making sure they work before heading to the condo. None of ours worked and it took my annoyed husband 30 minutes to go get new ones. They did give us a bottle of wine for our troubles, which was nice. The condo itself was fantastic, extra blankets and pillows - I didn't know the couch folded out! The only improvement I suggest is decent coffee. There was a coffee maker but just one pack of ****** weird coffee grounds. It wouldn't cost much to have some higher quality coffee and filters. Also, there were no towels at the pool so we had to bring from the unit meaning we had wet towels for our showers :(

Thanks for giving us a perfect rating and for recommending our rental to other travelers. Finding a mattress that satisfies the mass amount of renters we see is just not possible, but we do like to see every guest comfortable during their stay. If someone does not like the mattress we can offer a replacement air-mattress or mattress topper if we are made aware of the issue. Great place to stay! Everything was perfect and we can't wait to go back. A few minor suggestions is to have replacement batteries on hand for remotes and a fan in the guest bedroom as it does get warm in there. There was only one for the master. Thanks for providing humidifiers it helped a lot

The room was super clean and quiet. The bedding was good quality. The kitchen was very nice with new appliances. The washers were slightly expensive to do wash. We never saw a worker or anyone affiliated with the property.

My family and I were very happy and satisfied with the property. The place is very clean and for 5 people very spacious. My kids love the amenities that this place offer. My family and I love to travel and also rented an Airbnb but this place is amazing. This place is close to Lake Dillon, Dillon amphitheater, kids park by the lake, 29 minutes to Breckenridge, 19 minutes to Frisco. Not just the place amazing but the price is perfect with the property and the amenities they that offer. We would like to come back again and will definitely recommend to our friend and family.

We had a great time staying in Keystone for the week of July 4th. Location of the condo was perfect. Amenities were better than what we would receive in a hotel for the number of people in our party(6) and the length of the stay. There is so much to do in the area; gondola ride to the top of the mountain, rafting in Idaho’s Springs, gold mining, SUP’ing at Lake Dillon, restaurants, heated swimming/hot tub, the list goes on.

We have been going up to Keystone for almost 15 years now. Because of that, we’ve become pretty picky about the properties we choose. This was our first time staying at #8565 and also our first time at Expedition Station. We were impressed. When we walked into the unit, it really smelled clean and fresh, which for me personally, always makes me feel more comfortable and at home right out of the gate (thanks to the SC Mountain cleaning crew!!) The unit itself is well decorated and well maintained. The beds were comfortable, and I always appreciate a place that has a lot of extra pillows and a box fan in the closet (it’s the little things, right?) The kitchen was set up with everything we needed. Overall, this property served our family of four well and we all really liked #8565... even the kids mentioned how nice it was several times. It’s conveniently located for going to River Run or the gondola/lifts. It was too cold to swim while we were there, but the pool looked very nice and was super clean. The only thing I would suggest is maybe updating the balcony furniture for this unit at some point (and keeping it somewhat clean) because we would’ve liked to sit out there, but the furniture wasn’t in good shape, looked super uncomfortable, and it was absolutely filthy.
