A torn hamstring on day 2 of a month long stay has a way of negatively coloring a vacation. With that said, our stay at ES met all our expectations. The location is great. The unit was well laid out with a nice sized kitchen and large bedroom. The furniture was comfortable and new enough.
It didn't negatively affect our experience, but we did find several things a bit out of character. The TVs have been upgraded to flat screens (the living room probably 15 years ago), but the old tube TVs are still in the unit taking up storage space in two large armores. WHY? There is what appears to be a nice set of knives. Unfortunately none of them actually cut except for one that is not part of the set. And lastly, for a complex of this size the hot tub is pretty small. Several times it was just not possible to use it because of the crowd.
Overall, a good place to stay while exploring Keystone and Summit County.

Made a last minute 1 night trip from Denver. Enjoyed night skiing, the 5 minute walk to the lifts, under ground parking, the hot tub/heated pool and sauna, and walking to dinner. The room is plenty spacious for 2 or up to 4 people. The master king bed was nothing great. Would stay here again.Anonymous from Castle Rock - Posted: 2/9/2024

The condo was as described. The uncovered balcony had so much snow that my toddler and I didn't have to go downstairs to play. Very close to really good restaurants and the lift. The only downside was the remote batteries in the living room needed to be replaced and the condo didn't have those type of batteries to replace. And our last night the WiFi wouldn't connect so we couldn't watch the smart TV in the bedroom. Otherwise great stay.Anonymous from Cordova - Posted: 2/3/2024

Booked this place over a few days during late December. Overall it was excellent with the following highlights:
1. Value for money: In comparison to other places this was substantially cheaper without a sacrifice in amenities/quality.
2. Location: 3-5 minute walk to the river run gondola. Very convenient.
3. Amenities: Excellent amenities both at the apartment but also at the complex (jacuzzi, heated swimming pool, landry, etc.).
4. Check in: Overall the best check in guide and process I have ever experienced. The guide is super detailed, covering all possible questions.
Highly recommended!

Thank you for your review! We are so happy to see you appreciated this unit around the holiday time! Thank you for your recommendation and we can wait to have you back!Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
The condo was just like its pictures and was super clean. The balcony was huge and had good views of some mountains and the center court. You’re just minutes away from quite a few adventures and the drive to Dillon was very easy. We had left and Alexa device by accident and the management company returned it to us immediately. Great customer service! I will definitely be coming back.Anonymous from Denver - Posted: 8/31/2023

A very nice stay. Clean. Good communication. Pool, hot tub and fitness center could use some work but they did the job. The patio was being remodeled so there was no furniture out there and it was connected to the next door unit so we couldn't enjoy the nice day outside but other than that, it was an enjoyable stay with all the amenities you would need for a few nights away!Anonymous from kalispell - Posted: 7/24/2023
Thank you for your honest review and feedback, this patio work is no complete so guests can enjoy the patio!Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Location was nice, amenities nice, close to restaurants. We walked in and found the condo clean. From there it just goes downhill. We went to the patio opened the wood blinds only to have them come down on my head. The brackets were bent from previous falls and only being attached to wall with one screw. Once we got them reinstalled we found caution tape on the door, the screen on the ground and the patio under construction. The toilet worked intermittently and the light in the bathroom is coming off the ceiling. Condo needs work, couch and chair are very worn. It would have been nice to know patio was under construction. One night was plenty.Anonymous from Colorado Springs - Posted: 6/27/2023

8581 Expedition Station turned out to be a great little condo in the River Run Village. The condo was clean and comfortable. It was myself and 2 teenage boys. I got the queen sized bed in the bedroom and they shared the pull out couch, which worked out great. The kitchen was well equipped enough to cook dinners. We used the hot tub and pool after our days on the mountain. I would recommend this condo for parties of 4 or less people.Anonymous from Austin - Posted: 3/19/2023

Location was awesome, amount of daylight was awesome, and was the perfect getaway for a midweek vacation. However, the furniture was a bit dated and the blinds over the deck doors fell down more than once when being opened. The chair had a sunken arm and the couch pillows were showing signs of regular wear and tear. The bed in the bedroom was a little outdated too. Basically all the furniture could use an update.Anonymous from Heber City - Posted: 3/11/2023

The room we rented was clean and everything is as described in the guest book. We have never rented a place in a ski resort, but we're falling love with it. At the very last moment, our car's battery was out, but the management office got us help in no time. I hope I can come back to this place in Keystone next Winter.Anonymous from Leonia - Posted: 1/3/2023

My husband and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway. Although we weren't able to use the patio space due to some construction, it was still an amazing place to stay. Being in close proximity to activities and restaurants was a plus! Also, only a short drive to Breckenridge, Frisco, and Silverthorne.Anonymous from Castle Rock - Posted: 10/10/2022

While the location was great. The was a problem with the rental. The agents used to clean the rental were heavily fragranced and it reeked. It aggravated allergies and was almost impossible to breathe in there. Very unfortunate and easily avoidable.Anonymous from Not provided by A-Hotels.com - Posted: 7/19/2022

Check in was a little confusing and the roof construction literally on our balcony 6 days a week starting at 7 am was irritating however this was home away from home! I moved here from Texas due to a job promotion and it was very relaxing and comfortable. Not a hotel/motel by any means with loud and obnoxious guests running the halls and I really like the secure guest parking in the garage. I loved being able to cook breakfast lunch and dinner and not have to spend an arm and a leg on eating out. Items at the resort were over priced and then some in my opinion but again I came from Texas where there is not 4 different types of taxes. LOL God Bless TEXAS! The staff was very friendly the two times I did encounter them.Anonymous from BYERS - Posted: 7/4/2022
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We send check in instructions to all guests prior to the day of arrival so they can be viewed to avoid any confusion. We do recognize the inconvenience of the construction that was happening during your stay. Unfortunately HOA's only have a few months of of the year to do any repairs or projects to the building and they typically like to schedule these repairs during the shoulder season. The work has been completed now. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your interactions with our staff. We wish you the best of luck on your job promotion.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I had to sleep in the hide a bed. Everything was old and worn out. They did not provide enough toilet paper.

We thank you for having taken the time to give us an evaluation of your stay. Finding a mattress that satisfies the mass amount of renters we see is just not possible, but we do like to see every guest comfortable during their stay. If someone does not like the mattress we can offer a replacement air-mattress or mattress topper if we are made aware of the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. As listed on the rental agreement and the digital guidebook, we only provide the initial supply of toilet paper, which means one roll on the toilet paper dispenser and one in the cabinet/closet. Anything additional to this supply is the guests responsibility. Thanks for your honest opinion. I’m sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the services provided by our team.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Overall, my stay was delightful. The bed was great, apartment wear clean and well stocked. The only complaint I had was that the sofa and arm chair were not as comfy sad they look in the pictures. They were fine, but they could use some additional padding. Everything else was lovely, clean, and comfortable. A note; we did not utilize the sleeper sofa or sleep in the main living space. The lights from the clock on the oven and the microwave were quite bright so if you were sleeping out there you might want a sleep mask. For us, it made a perfect nightlight to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.Anonymous from ST PAUL - Posted: 3/16/2022

Condo was great for me and my three kiddos. Pull out bed was a little uncomfortable and cushions could use some TLC. Location is great though and there were lots of nice little amenities. Would stay here again.Anonymous from Highlands Ranch - Posted: 2/1/2022
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We would have been more than happy to provide a mattress topper for extra comfort for the sleeper sofa, had we known. Please reach out to us next time you are in the area.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff

Overall a pleasant stay. The condo was well-stocked with everything we needed. A little warm till we got the boxfans going and windows open. Good location and nice walkability.

The condo was nice and comfortable. Check in process was easy even though we arrived late at night. Location was great, walk to gondola and restaurants.
The patio had construction going on and workers right outside our window , but the representatives at summit country mountain retreats offered to move our room when we let them know. Good service and quick responses.Anonymous from Atlanta - Posted: 6/8/2021

Overall, we all loved it! Great location, nice amenities, the one issue was the bedding. The pillows were really uncomfortable, and the sofa pull out bed was a bit uncomfortable as well.Anonymous from Los Angeles - Posted: 2/16/2021
Everything went as expected! The SCMR group is extremely communicative leading up to your stay, sending text reminders and providing a number you can even text with questions instead of calling, and great directions for the stay experience. Everything was clean and easy during our stay!Anonymous from New York - Posted: 2/3/2021
Loved this condo at the foot of Keystone. Just a few minutes walk to the gondola. The space was clean, kitchen well stocked, bathroom was roomy. Lots of extra blankets too. We had a great time.Anonymous from Marietta - Posted: 1/12/2021
The property was clean and a great size for myself and my husband. The location of the building to the lifts, ski lockers and parking garage were ideal. The negatives were that certain things in the condo itself were extremely worn out, the living room chair is broken and the couch cushion ripped. The faucet on the bathroom sink was very loose and felt like it would break easily, the bed a little uncomfortable. Basically the unit needs new furniture badly, otherwise it was a wonderful stay.Anonymous from Chattanooga - Posted: 1/4/2021
We had a very nice stay at expedition 8581. the pool and the hot tub were quite enjoyable. The walk to the gondola is a little bit further than expected but the ice rink is directly in front of youAnonymous from Conifer - Posted: 12/11/2020

Nice place, close to everything. Convenient ski storage.Anonymous from Lafayette - Posted: 12/10/2019
This place was definitely as advertised. The fireplace worked; it was walking distance from the slopes; there were paper products and towels; it was warm. Please note that the TV in the bedroom is just a DVD player and there are no DVDs provided.Anonymous from Oak Park - Posted: 12/3/2019
We spent 2 nights in the off season. It was relaxing and a nice getaway for our family.Anonymous from Denver - Posted: 11/11/2019
The condo is in a lovely area of Keystone and close to lots of amenities, but it's old and dated. A blind was missing from the sliding door, the bed skirt was completely ripped apart, the couch had holes in the cushions, the LR TV did not have a signal, the BR TV is from 1980, no local magazines or information. Bed was comfy.Anonymous - Posted: 7/30/2019
Love it. The facilities rock and customer service was great!Anonymous from Longmont - Posted: 7/17/2019
