Expedition Station #8628

Everything was in place. One item needed to be addressed and SCMR took care of that the first afternoon. Overlooking the pool area, so if the family is enjoying the water you can keep track of them.

The kitchen had everything, including a good compliment of spices. Easy to move about the space and into and out of the building. Not exactly in the center of things but close enough to walk to the restaurants and gondola.

Had a great time and will be back : )

Fantastic condo, fantastic location within walking distance to everything! We love Keystone and this is the second year in a row with a stay at Expedition Station. The location is so convenient to the slopes, food, and all the village has to offer! It’s a short 5 minute (or less) walk to the Gondola, convenient to everything. The condo was so comfortable with everything we needed for our stay! Loved the comfort of the furniture in the living room and all the storage for our gear! The heated pool and hot tub is our favorite amenity, but we also love the pool table and laundry on site!

We enjoyed our stay and felt the condo had everything we needed to keep a family of four happy for a long weekend. Having 2 bathrooms was a nice bonus. Only thing I'd change is brighter light bulbs in the lamps in the master bedroom. Excellent communication from the property managers and they really had thought of everything that we might ask. App is a nice touch.

We loved our stay, the location was perfect! Short walk to the gondola and restaurants. The beds were comfy and we noticed there was even a pull out couch if we needed another spot to sleep. There was a drip coffee maker and a keurig, coffee options are important! The resort was great at communicating and allowed for texting which was handy. We would totally stay again next year.

Very good apartment, except for these three observations: 1) the dining table is very precarious, 2) I definitely did not like the decorations and paintings, and 3) there was accumulated old snow on the balcony that impided from being used

Great location right next to the Ski lift. Very roomy 1 bedroom with extra murphy bed that can be down without affecting the living room space. Made it feel more like a two bedroom condo for the price of a one bedroom. Very pretty decor and well maintained condo with everything we needed for a great ski weekend in January.

Best detailed, user friendly app and check in process. Hot tub didn’t work for part of the trip and they immediately got in touch with maintenance and got it fixed. We left a personal item in the room after leaving and they tracked it down and mailed it back within a few days. One of my best customer experiences using a vacation rental.

You receive a substantial amount of emails and texts from the rental company. The rental will work well for a small family, with adults in the bedroom, and kids on the couch and murphy bed. When those beds are pulled out, there is nowhere to move; the place is tiny. However, it is near restaurants and only a 5-minute walk to the slopes. If you do not plan to spend much time in the room the proximity to the slopes makes up for it.

We stayed over Christmas 2021, for our family Christmas vacation, and couldn't be happier with the stay.
The location and the unit were great. We had everything we needed to keep us comfortable, including humidifiers, which are a must in the dry environment. I would also like to mention, the king bed in the bedroom was the most comfortable bed I have slept in that was not my own. I also loved having 2 full bathrooms.
The unit location is great and is walking distance to the gondola and many of the restaurants/shops.
This unit was great for 4 adults, but I think 6 adults would be really close quarters.

Summary: Great location, clean unit, great amenities, and the property management team was awesome.
Would definitely stay here again!! 5 stars!

By far, this has been our favorite unit. We usually stay at Keystone the first week of December, and this unit was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed to cook and have a great time on the slopes.

The reservation process was so simple. And the step-by-step check-in instructions were very helpful and straight forward. The condo was clean, felt like we were staying in a nice hotel. Would definitely like to book a renal in the winter for snowboarding, especially since they provide keys for a locker on the first floor for storing equipment.

Set up my workstation on the dining table and enjoyed the view of the trees and mountain from my “desk”. The place was spotless and has everything you’d need. Linens and towels are nicer than just about any hotel I’ve ever visited....quite luxurious. 4 adults are gonna get to know each other very well...6 adults would be a crowd! Carpet in master could stand to be cleaned or replaced. Overall great stay!

This place comfortably held all six of our guests and is the perfect walking distance to the ski lifts and village shops. The property manager was amazing, we accidentally left our phone in the room and they had it shipped the next day! Highly recommend staying here.

We spent five days/five nights at this rental property and were very pleased. This specific room had a great view of the mountain and overlooked the pool and hot tub. The condo was very close to shopping, dining, and the River Run Gondola. The heated underground parking was a must-have! The property was clean, well-kept, and secure. Even though we did not need it because our kids are older, they provided daily activities for younger kids. The only thing that I would say they could use more of are washers and dryers--only one each per floor.

Great location-5 min walk to the gondola. Ski rentals right across the street at Norski. Our own parking spot inside underneath the building and our own ski locker made for easy days. The hot tub was awesome to relax in at night after a day of skiing. The full kitchen in the rental was great for breakfast every morning and dinners at night. The 2 full bathrooms worked well for our family of 5.

We stayed for a quick overnight, so didn't partake of the fullest this quaint little place has to offer. After a little furniture tetris, settle in for the night in the Murphy bed or hide a bed, queen sized. Two bathrooms are really appreciated and afford the master suite privacy.

I really liked this Expedition Station condo. It was updated, well appointed, comfortable furniture, bed, large TV's. Has everything you need. I liked that it had two full bathrooms too. Great location, easy to get to everything. I booked the condo through Summit County Mountain Retreats and check-in/out was very easy and efficient.

Had a great experience! Location was awesome, right in River Run Village and a short walk to the gondola and other parts of the village. No A/C but the mountain breeze was enough to cool the place down in August. Check-in was very easy despite arriving in the middle of the night.

Nice large single bedroom condo that was very clean. Surprisingly small single closet that was already semi-full. The bathroom(s) had large towels which I appreciate. The one real drawback was the noise at 5:00 AM with people leaving.....very inconsiderate of others....kids yelling going down the hallways.

Nice condition, well appointed. There were only 2 of us so the amount of space was fine but it would be a little cramped for more than 2 IMO. Nice view overlooking the pool and partial sunsets to the west, however, the balcony is right next to the neighbor's so not a lot of privacy if they're out at the same time. Expedition Station seems great for little kids. If you're without kids and looking for peace and quiet you may want to look at other complexes. Pool area can get pretty loud. Overall, a nice unit at a nice complex.

This cozy little condo was very comfy for my husband and I. Even though it is small it felt roomy due to the layout. Very clean and organized. All the basics were available - coffee, shampoo, is only a short walk to the gondola and close to a trail system. I would highly recommend it!!!

Our family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights. The murphy bed was a great option instead of having to make up a sleeper sofa every day. I loved having a 2nd bathroom! The heat took quite awhile to warm up the place, but that's just the way radiant heat works. We had a great view of the pool. Especially when the two moose decided to hang out in the pool area for the day. That was exciting! Overall the unit was comfortable and quiet. It made for a very relaxing visit!

This condo is so comfortable with its 3 beds for sleeping, 2 full baths to get everyone ready quickly, and it had every thing we needed in the kitchen. The pool and spa area has showers and shampoo/conditioner and was always clean. The ski locker at the unit was large enough for skis (not boots) - but we just rented lockers at the ski resort. The unit is about a 10 minute walk through the village, which is absolutely lovely if you want to eat lunch in your condo or if you have teenagers that want to ski longer. Our unit had one thing broken upon arrival and management exceeded my expectations in fixing it. The only disappointment in the building is the laundry facilities. There is one washer dryer set per floor, and on the night I wanted to do laundry, two sets were offline. I'm used to loading up 2 or 3 washers and knocking it all out quickly.

Check in was simple. The space was a bit smaller than we had expected for sleeping, but was spotlessly clean. The location was great for accessing the mountain and it was nice having ski lockers and access to the Keystone wagons to get the kids to and from the hill.

Two of us stayed in this condo in Jan 2019. The condo was comfy, everything worked well. We enjoyed the hot tub. Management was responsive to questions. There was some dry wall work going on by the master shower to repair some water damage, but other than that, the bed was comfy and great stay.

My family and I felt so comfortable in this condo. The upgrades were awesome, the view was wonderful, and it was a different layout than most condos with very roomy high ceilings. It was very clean, and the king size bed in the bedroom was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! The bathrooms are very spacious, and there’s plenty of room for the pulldown bed in the dining area. We so enjoyed our stay because we were quite comfortable. I highly recommend this condo to anybody who’s looking for something more luxurious and home-like. We absolutely loved being steps away from the Keystone village too. If we ever come to Colorado again – to Keystone – I will definitely be booking this condo again.

We had a wonderful time staying at keystone. However, there were a few minor problems that occurred during our stay but didn’t hinder the fun time had. The pool was only open for 1 of the days of our stay. The pool was one of the reasons we booked the condo. They had to drain the pool which took 1 day then the next day someone came to fix it which took another day. It was filled the morning we left but unfortunately we had to be out by 10am. Other than that the keystone resort had so many cool activities for the kids! One day the Denver zoo dropped by along with face painting, hula hoops, bubble blowing, and water balloon contests, picture buttons for the kids and many other exciting events! The condo was very clean, beds were comfortable, and it was very quiet all day and night. There were not many people around, which was fine with us! We are definitely looking forward to future stays!

The condominium was great size for the two of us. Well appointed and view of pool area with mountains in the background. Loved having two full bathrooms! bonus for a one bedroom. Condo includes Murphy bed; however, that leaves you no space for the 4 person table and chairs. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Expedition Station #8628, which we chose as base for a three-day snowboarding trip to Arapahoe Basin in late April 2018 (Keystone Resort was already closed for the season and there is no lodging in A-Basin). The unit is spacious, has plenty of light, and is well furnished with a mixture of rustic and modern touches. We have stayed at a good number of ski resort condos before, and ES 8628 felt the most well thought-out and designed by far. The two bathrooms are a boon when getting ready for/coming back from the slopes. Walking distance to Keystone lifts, and a 10-minute drive to A-Basin. A secure, covered parking spot is included in the rental. The unit was immaculately clean, wifi worked like a charm, and obtaining access and check-in instructions from the management company was entirely painless. We will definitely consider ES 8628 for our next snowboard trip to Colorado.

We loved this condo. What a wonderful layout for a small family. The location was convenient to the River Run gondola. We loved having a second bathroom for our teenager. The furniture, including all the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen nicely equipped. We would definitely recommend this condo and would stay here again if we are in Keystone.
