Expedition Station #8560

Great location for our family ski trip to Keystone. Plenty of beds for the 7 of us, and the 3 bathrooms were needed. Next door to ski rental. Walking to the shops and restaurants. River Run gondola was very close, allowing the kids to ski and stop in for quick rest. The kids loved the pool, hot tub, and steam room. Covered parking was great. They also used the pool table in the common area for some down time. The kitchen had everything we needed, including blender to make smoothies. We ate in for breakfast and lunch, and only ate out for dinner. Fireplace, TV, Heating - all worked as expected. We would most likely rent this place again next year for our family ski trip and would recommend to others.

This property exceeded our expectations. I brought my two teenage sons here for a hiking vacation. It is only 1.5 hours from the Denver Airport. Grabbing the keys from the office was easy, even at 11 PM! The parking garage and the unit were easy to access. We loved that it had three bathrooms with showers, a huge master, a nice guest BR with bunks, and the flip down bed in the living room. All appliances were nice, including a second fridge freezer, and a boot drying rack in the closet. The hot tub and pool are directly off the patio outside the unit! There is also a small climbing rock/wall, poolside pull up bars, and a gym inside. This unit is only a little over one hour from Buena Vista where we zip lined and white water rafted the Numbers. It was only 30 min to Breckenridge and another ten minutes to the trailhead for Quandary Peak. We didn't realize until we were leaving on May 19th that just down the road, Arapahoe Basin was still open for skiing! There are tons of stores and shops down the road in Dillon.

This is the first time we’ve experienced a first floor condo and that was a big plus for us. It’s also close to the main entrance which we loved. The only negative involved the ceiling fan in the bunkbed room. It looked as though it hadn’t been dusted in several years, and we had to place a trash bag over it so someone could sleep in the top bunk without fear of dust, falling all over them during the night. I did take pictures to send to the company. The main refrigerator had issues and needed an ordered part but they quickly provide a mini fridge for our use. We love Keystone and will definitely be back!

We loved staying at expedition station. Being on the first floor allowed for us to go in and out easily and spend lots of time at the pool and in the yard area surrounding it. We loved this condo location. It was near walking trails, away from the construction noise happening nearby, just wonderful!

Stayed for just a night but it was amazing! The location is steps from the hot tub and pool. The condo itself was huge with high ceilings and had three full bathrooms. Our group was very comfortable and enjoyed our stay very much. We will definitely stay again!!

This is a great condo, with a great layout. Our family of 5 had plants of space to crash after a long day of skiing. It was an easy walk to the gondola, especially on the first floor. The oven display wasn’t working so I wasn’t exactly sure if the oven was at the right temp. I did call to get it fixed but wasn’t by the time we left. The building had a nice pool and very hot hot tub which was nice as well. We would definitely stay here again.

This condo was perfect for our group of 4. It was super clean. The beds are so comfortable, the bathrooms are beautiful and having three full bathrooms made it so much easier to get everyone moving since we were all skiing/boarding together, and going out together, etc. Being on the first floor was ideal at the end of the day. The bath towels were nice and soft. It is only a 5 min walk to the gondola, & a 2 minute walk to shopping & dining. The ice rink is across the street, but was not open. Parking underground and having luggage carts to bring stuff up was a key amenity. Everything was in working order. They are stocked with salt and pepper, bring any other spices you want. Bring your own aluminum foil, ziplock bags and saran wrap. They provided TP and Paper Towels, dish soap and coffee. As far as the kitchen, my only wish was that there was a nonstick frying pan. We could have used a cookie sheet for the oven, but we improvised with aluminum foil. Unfortunately the hot tub, right behind the condo, was not hot while we were there, but we enjoyed a couple of games of pool in the common area. The gym is adequate although we did not need to use it because we skied everyday. My daughter did laundry, bring your own pods, the dispenser will take your quarters and give you nothing. I usually pack a few pods and dryer sheets when we travel. A recommendation for snowboard/skiers, check your equipment at the free check on the mountain or bring a lock. My daughters snowboard was taken on the last day we were there while we were eating lunch across the street. Luckily, the amazing mountain staff used a photo of it and recovered it from the thief who took it a few days later, but just beware because it was traumatizing. While the vibe is pretty awesome and the overall trust of your peers is abundant, there are those people who don't belong at a ski resort and cannot be trusted. Better safe than sorry. All is well that ends well. We will be back.

Thanks for your comments and for having selected our property. Thank you for making us aware of the lack of cookie sheets in the unit. Now that we are aware of this we will have some delivered right away. SCMR only provides the initial supply of bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap and dishwasher detergent, trash bags,pre-filtered coffee (no need for coffee filters) and sweeteners, and salt and pepper. This information is provided in our advertisement and in our check in instructions. The hot tub has since been repaired and we apologize for the inconvenience this caused. I am so sorry to hear that the coin machine in the laundry was not working, we will have this reported to the building HOA for a repair right away. We would love it if you would come back to stay with us again – we have no doubt that the next time you would have the wonderful experience that the vast majority of our guests have.

I enjoyed it. It was sorta the off season, but summer weather in the CO mountains is soooooo much better than the hot swamp in which I live. The altitude is high up there and it takes a day or so to get used to. I’ll be visiting here again.

Great location, quite in early June. Many places still closed til July. Loved the pool right out the patio. Place was as described. Only issue is I called on broke screens and broke patio door screen day 1. They said they would fix it..guy even came and took 1 and never came back.

We are happy that you had a good experience overall, but we are sorry to see that you are upset about the blinds in the unit. We have checked our service history at this unit and it appears that our staff was out to the property again on the second day of this guests stay to remove and repair the screen coverings. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the repair the screen was not returned to the property until 6/16. We hope that you come back to see how we’ve implemented your feedback. My family of five had a wonderful stay in Expedition Station. The kids slept great in the comfortable beds after long days of skiing. Everything we needed was a short walk from the unit (restaurants, rentals, shops, slopes). We took advantage of the walk out patio and warmed up in the hot tub just out the door. Highly recommend this unit.

great place for 4 friends to stay. everyone had a bed and plenty of place to eat and hang out. real clean and 5 minute walk to gondola in ski boots. red river village is very cool even in covid environment. very close walk to the little market/beer store in the village. short walk to steep brewery which was pretty cool good beer. everything was pretty much as advertised. minor issue of no salt or pepper and some burnt out light bulbs that never got resolved. but overall sweet place.

Great location, fantastic pool and hot tub. The unit overall had excellent amenities. It was a bit dirty, there were pretzels scattered on the floor in several places that had not been vacuumed well. Otherwise a good experience.

We had a great stay here - location is perfect to the slopes - and you can walk to the jacuzzi from the patio - the master bed is more comfortable than most places we've stayed at!!
