Great location and clean rental. Beds were all great except later notification of bunk bed sizing. Buffalo lodge overall great place to stay. Managements late check in policy a bit much but overall they seem ok. Texted a few times during stay for any issues (we had none) so dont know about response quality.
Overall a great spot- a bit more expensive than others 3bdrs in river run but you get what you pay for here. Will be back again.

Every year we come to the River Run Village for a ski vacation with our family. We always leave our condos in great shape when we leave. We have never worked with SC Mountain Retreats and found them a bit difficult to work with. A very long, intimidating contract and a $15/ hr early check in fee when we were spending $3500

Buffalo Lodge 8370 was a beautiful and comfortable place for our family of 5 adults and 3 kids to stay while we skied our favorite mountain. Keystone. I would recommend updating the website with the 3rd bedroom sleeping arrangements and picture. The third bedroom is a queen bunk on bottom and single bunk on top with no trundle bed. My daughter’s family of five was going to use this room thinking it slept 2 adults and 3 toddlers nicely but they didn’t all fit. The picture of this room appears to be out of date. The temperature in the unit was also difficult to regulate. Overall, great amenities and so nice to be close to the mountain to take breaks throughout the day.

This was a perfect set up and condo for our 2 family vacation. Great location, walkable to gondola, town and shops. The HOA did turn the water off 1 day but we were out skiing so it didn’t really matter to us. But the dryer broke on the 2nd day. They did get someone out to look at it but it was unfortunately not able to be fixed. So we had to air dry all our cloths every night. Luckily they had enough fans in each room!
we would definitely stay there again though.

Great location, great floorplan / space, but could improve by upgrading the mgmt and cleaning companies. Check-in process was onerous (especially in the age of digital keylocks). Water was shut-down to entire building for half-day and mgmt co offered nothing when I requested bottled water or something for our small children be provided. I understand this was not their fault, but they could've sprung to help their visitors rather than provide canned responses - "we apologize for the inconvenience". Also, the kitchen / living room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks with trash and crumbs everywhere. Overall, a great stay, but some minor improvements would go a long way.

Our check in process in standard much like the rest of the industry as not all HOAs allow the use of key pad locks and I do understand the frustration in regards to the water being shut off and we wish we had more control over this! I will also follow up with our housekeeping team in regards to the cleanliness of the unit!
Buffalo Lodge #8370 was a great rental for our entire clan. Each family had their own bedroom and bath and the large kitchen "picnic table" was large enough for all of to sit at. Location was fantastic, only a short 5 minute walk to the River Run gondola which was perfect for our younger grandkids. Epic Mountain Rental, located in the Buffalo Lodge building, was another plus. Overall a great condo and fantastic trip.

We had a wonderful stay in Buffalo Lodge 8370. Plenty of space for 6 adults. The property was as described, super location for skiing. A couple of minor repairs needed to be done but nothing that affected our stay. Management was quick to respond to questions and needs! Thanks Summit!

This is a beautiful place to stay especially during winter season. It was fully stocked (except for could use some more coffee). If you have a group of people, make sure you figure out the parking situation before hand. Each car had to park far away and pay $25.

My interactions with Summit County MR regarding our rental was less than desirable. The condo we rented was wonderful, and the owners thought of everything. The problem was with the communication w/SCMR. They were hard to work with regarding an hour earlier check in (low season), and parking. Our son was getting married in Keystone, and we had several events that we needed to attend. I was forced to book another day on the beginning of the trip so that we could get settled before the events started the next day. What a waste of an extra day. It took us about 90 minutes to get our keys, and finally get into the condo. My daughter and I arrived on Wednesday evening, drove into the garage and loaded a luggage cart. Upon wheeling over the luggage cart to the elevators, we see a note posted on the door that the elevator was broken. Wow. Why didn't they let us know that BEFORE we unloaded the car! There should have been a sign where all the luggage carts were so we knew there was an issue. You could NOT see the elevator doors from this area. I immediately called and left a message, as I thought ALL the elevators were broken and it would not work for us at all. We were on the third floor. An employee called me back and he seemed very blasé about my concerns. He said "I understand your perception". It wasn't my perception. It was a fact that the garage elevator was broken with zero luggage carts on the first level to get to the working elevators. I did not appreciate his attitude at all. High stress situation, and no compassion. Some customer service skills would be helpful.

My family and I spent the weekend at the Buffalo Lodge in Keystone. The 3 bedroom condo was great. It had everything we needed, the beds were comfy and plenty of space for 8 of us. Right outside our front door was miniature golf. There were several hot tubs and we a heated outdoor pool we shared with Dakota lodge right next door. The location is great. Your steps away from keystone village and the ski mountain. We would definitely rent this condo again.

Unit was as pictured. Amazing location. This would have been a 5star review but horas than an hour before check in I received a text stating that the elevator in the building was not working. It also stated that staff would be able to assist during business hours of 9am to 5pm to assist with luggage upon arrival and departure due to the inconvenience. This was not the case. Our unit was on the 3rd floor and this was a huge inconvenience as my nephew who uses a wheelchair had to be carried up flights of stairs everyday. Everyone who was staying at the Buffalo Lodge while we were there complained as well. You just saw people huffing and puffing up and down the stairs during our stay. As part of the check out process you have to take the trash out..... also not fun carrying down 3 flights of stairs. Not one single time did anyone offer to help either. No staff in sight at the lodge main entrance. The only time I saw staff was in the parking garage and every time someone walked down there all they said was that the elevator was not working and that it had been down for 2 weeks now. Could have been a great time but that really put a damper on our stay at the Buffalo Lodge.

Great space for our ski trip! We had the kids and both sets of grandparents with us and everyone was comfortable. Nice view overlooking the ice rink close walk to everything in river run. Dryer wasn’t working which could have been a vacation ruiner (there’s a communal one but I don’t like those) I called maintenance and they were up within a couple hours and fixed it super fast. Check in was easy and everyone was friendly. Could have a little more dresser space but that’s an issue in almost every hotel/condo

This was our first visit to Keystone in about 30 years. The area has changed in many ways, but as we remembered, River Run Village was a great choice to stay in regard to location. This property was extremely clean and comfortable. We expected a certain amount of noise due to its location in the village, but the sound insulation was great. We mainly only heard outside noise if the windows were open & rarely heard noise from the hall or other units.
The kitchen was well supplied with cooking equipment with a couple of notable exceptions. I would suggest the addition of a baking sheet or two, potholders and a steamer pot or basket as well as kitchen scissors. Otherwise everything I needed was there & I could make do with what was supplied.
The living/dining room was large and comfortable. The bedrooms were also large and the beds were reasonably comfortable, although the king bed was getting a little tired on one side.
The only "problem" we had was not about the unit itself, but was important to our enjoyment. We had been to Keystone in September, again many years ago, and found the resort to be busy enough without being crowded. This time, largely due to Covid I'm sure, there was very little open as far as restaurants and shops. Also the gondola was not running, which was one of the things we were looking forward to as an activity. (Ride up, look around, hike down.) Buffalo Lodge & The Dakota (where our friends stayed) were both being deep cleaned while we were there, which I understand needs done, but did result in some inconvenience & noise in the halls. Again, we weren't bothered so much inside the unit, but getting to and from was rather loud.
So, in summary - we loved the condo & location, but would not return in October!

All properties should be supplied with a baking sheet and potholders, we will have one delivered to the property right away. Finding a mattress that satisfies the mass amount of renters we see is just not possible, but we do like to see every guest comfortable during their stay. If someone does not like the mattress we can offer a replacement air-mattress or mattress topper if we are made aware of the issue. We will alert our staff of this complaint and investigate this further. We do apologize for any disruption that common area carpet cleaning had on this group. When the building homeowners association preforms projects like this we do our best to make guests aware. Unfortunately, the building HOA neglected to provide our staff with this scheduling, we hope that this had minimal impact on the guests stay stay. Please keep in mind that the months of September and October are considered shoulder season and most dining options and activities are closed at this time. Guests can call our staff directly for any recommendations on where to go during this time of year! We hope to see you again soon.
We loved our time at Buffalo Lodge #8370! Beautiful unit and location, comfy beds, and plenty of space! We enjoyed being part of River Run Village, though most of the shops were closed except on the weekends. The unit was very clean and the property management company was very professional and took care of our needs! Our only complaint is the parking situation (which we were aware of beforehand). We know it is due to the HOA, but still a pain only to be able to park one car for an 11-person unit.

The condo was very clean, everything worked. The beds we’re very comfortable! Loved having a king size bed! Surprised there was no air conditioning, no worries, we opened the windows and turned on the fans! Cooled down after the sun went down. We had 6 adults and our 18 month old granddaughter. Very roomy.

Unfortunately, this property does not have air conditioning but this is not uncommon in Summit County. We do provide a fan in each bedroom closet to help with the summer heat. If this property does not have a fan at time of check in just let us know and we can bring out to the unit. I always recommend opening up a window to let in that cool mountain air, it really helps cool the unit off.
Complex is in a great location! The eight adults had plenty of room. Condo had a fully stocked kitchen.

We loved this location! Keystone slope access and ski rental were close. At nights we could eat out and for breakfast, the kitchen was perfect. The beds were very comfortable. We had plenty of towels and the access to a washer and dryer in the unit was great for wet swim suits-when we used the hot tub on the first floor, which was also so close.

We had a great time in Colorado. The rental was spacious and clean for our family of 6. The jacuzzi was great after a long day. The property it self was great. But the area a lot was closed down so there wasn’t a lot to do near by.

Amazing! The condo we stayed at was perfect and in a great location! It was sad, some of the shops and restaurants were not open- I assume due to the time of year and COVID, but it was amazing!
We rented a boat at Lake Dillon for one of the days and saw the colors! The balcony of the condo overlooked a beautiful spot on the mountains to see amazing golden leaves!

We had a great time in this unit! Lots of space and the large beds were a huge plus for us. Everything is upgraded - bathrooms and kitchen. Only downside was that we were unable to add another night as it was booked! We used the pool at the Dakota. Its right next door but you MUST book the pool reservation the minute it becomes available! We were lucky to get in. The reservation fill up super fast.

The place was big enough for our family and in a great location. The kitchen was kind of small and the burners were labeled wrong on 2 burners. Easy enough to figure out and cook. The halls were hot and the rooms a bit warm even with the heat turned down. We just cracked windows. We would stay again and try to stay longer.

Keystone is so much fun. This condo was wonderful. Very comfortable. Plenty of room for 3 couples and a toddler. The playground and ice rink just outside our window was nice. The laundry room was convenient. We definitely used the machines. I can pack half as much. Nice. So many ways this made for a fun trip. We even went down to play pool a couple evenings. Just added something extra to our evenings.

OVerall the place was great; the location is amazing. You can walk to anything you may need and are close to hikes as well. The shower in the main bathroom didn't work, which made getting ready take a bit longer. The biggest complaint I have is that the keys for the front door work about 50% of the time.

We didn't need anything while there so can't really rate the service beyond collecting the keys from a box and follow the check out instructions without speaking with anyone - which for us is a positive!

It was overall a good stay. There were some hiccups to figure out the place to collect the keys. The keys had double purpose, one for opening the main door and another for the apartment. It also took some time to figure out the electrical system and ladies were stressed out as we entered late in the night. So, requesting to keep a step-by-step write up to help visitors.

The carpet from the kitchen to the living room was not vacuumed and had a lot of dirt and dust. The carpet also has a lot of stains. The screen door to the porch is off the tracks hanging sideways. There is a gash in the hallway wall. The oven is very dirty and set off the fire alarm when we cooked chicken nuggets which are not in the least greasy. There are cigarettes and cigars left on the porch which were not cleaned up. There are two lights out in the kitchen ceiling lights. The knives are so dull we are not able to cut vegetables with many of them. Otherwise the condo is fine. We just don't want you to think that any of these issues are due to us.
We have stayed at many different properties in the area and are surprised by some of these cleanliness issues. On the positive side the condo is stocked with an adequate supplies, the TV is great although took us a forever to figure out how to operate since the batteries in the remote for the Direct TV had white crusty stuff coming out of them and we had to go out and buy new batteries for the remote. Also, the remote was super greasy. It didn't look like anyone had cleaned it.

We had 11 ladies stay here to go skiing for a bachelorette party and it was perfect. The only complaint was the weird location of the kitchen sink, but otherwise it had plenty of space and was comfortable and clean. The other reviewers weren’t joking when they said there are PLENTY of linens.

We had a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom unit and were very pleased with the layout and space. We were very pleased with the experience and how close it was to all amenities. There were also wagons available for our ski equipment With small children that made a difference. The outside games, fire pits and the skating rink were also a great addition for this area. I highly recommend
it. The lockers on the first floor for our skis and poles were very handy.

SCMR communications were outstanding. Their website and portal provide the details regarding every aspect of the rental process and likely needs, such as check in, payment, amenities, room specifics, discounts, housekeeping, contact info, and more.
The property was accurately described. Other than a few minor items, it was in great shape. The bedding and bathrooms were of high quality - - and appreciated.
Location was perfect. Easy to get to, short walk to gondola, right in River Run village with restaurants and shops.Readily available shuttle to other Keystone places. Also, free shuttle for Arapahoe Basin ski area.

The unit itself is very nice. Enjoyed the stay. Parking is not good though for a unit that sleeps up to 11 people. Only one car allowed in the parking lot. There is a free lot behind the unit, but no overnight parking. You can pay to park by the Gondola overnight, but you have to move your car before 6am. Free parking is 1.5 miles away, but if your entire party wants to go out to dinner, you have to shuttle somebody to pick up the other car. Dercum square is noisy starting at 5am in the morning with plows etc. But overall the unit is nice and within walking distance to River Run skiing.

Great location & layout! Only issues were not receiving check in instructions via email which delayed our check n process. Also, our keys did not operate on he garage so we had to park outside & load & unload in the snow.

First off Apologises this was delayed but I’ve been away since I got back from the UK. I stayed there last year and it’s a wonderful place to stay. Spacious, clean, tidy and amazingly comfortable. I would highly recommend it.

We had a very pleasant stay at the vacation rental. The property was clean and spacious and had everything we could expect. It did get a little hot in the afternoons and not having a cooking system was a little inconvenient. The management quickly arranged and provided portable fans to use. Provision of humidifiers in every room was very thoughtful, because very soon after getting there we could feel the need for them.
Thank you for everything. We had a very good stay at the vacation rental in Keystone.

The place was fantastic! We redirected from our usual beach vacation and went west instead. My husband, 19year old twin boys, 23 year old son & girlfriend, and 18 year old nephew loved the condo! It was well sized, lots of seating, comfortable beds, awesome linens, excellent communication all made for a great experience from beginning to end! We loved the change of pace and yet didn't feel like we were missing out on anything at all. Having underground parking was an added bonus! Everyone enjoyed being so close to fun shops, restaurants, and lots of other activities perfect for all ages! We will be back, and we will be bringing our fellow beachgoers!

We rented this unit with another family and the layout and location were perfect. There is only one parking pass and virtually no other place to park. We were informed that the overflow lot is a mile or two down the Main Street and we could take a shuttle to get back. Such an inconvenience! Only twofold four keys worked and one worked to get into ski storage area. The unit was semi-dirty and looked as if house-keeping had not finished. There was no toilet paper in two of the rolls, boxes of tissues were left in a stack in counter and no extra bedding g for the trundle bed. For top dollar firing high season this is annoying. We will not stay there again.

We will follow up with the housekeeping team and send an inspector to make sure the rental is cleaned properly for future guests. We encourage guests to contact us 24/7 regarding any issues so we can help. Regarding parking, we're sorry you were inconvenienced. We do not manage any parking. We only communicate the parking availability for each of our rentals. This particular unit allows one parking space and this is communicated prior to check-in, as well as being listed in the description of the rental (so guests know prior to booking). Keystone Resort, of which we are not affiliated, manages all other parking and they allow overnight parking at one lot. We find most guests work out a carpooling plan or make use of the on-call shuttle provided by the resort.
The condo was very home away from home! Well stocked with all necessities. Spacious and clean! TVs just a lil awkward hung so high but overall we enjoyed our stay and the condo:)

The location is in the village and close to rental shops, restaurants, gondola, and shuttle stops. Living room had lots of comfortable seating. Bench in entry was great to put coats and gear. Beds and pillows were comfy. Bathrooms were clean and updated. Mgt company provided tissues, paper towels, soap, lots of towels, etc. Loved it!!!!

We loved this unit. Check in was very easy. The unit itself is fantastic - very well furnished, very comfortable, very clean. High quality linens and towels that were clean and not worn out. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Washer and dryer in the unit was very useful. We had a family of 5 - 2 parents and 3 kids ages 6, 4, and 1, and had plenty of space. We had the master BR, two older kids slept in the bunkbeds (biggest bunkbeds I've ever seen btw), baby in the 3rd bedroom. Amazingly convenient location in the village, walk to the gondola in 5 minutes. Easy drive to Breckenridge, Dillon, Frisco (less than 25 min). Less than 2 hour drive from Denver (assuming no horrible traffic jams). We arrived on Sunday afternoon and left Friday morning and there was no heavy traffic on the way to and from Keystone.
The management people were great - we had one issue where at night there was someone smoking on the balcony below us, and smoke was wafting into our unit and causing it to smell. We had to have our windows open because it was a little warm and there is no air conditioning (evidently none of the places have a/c and you always have windows open for air to circulate). The entire building is supposed to be non-smoking, so we were very annoyed. We couldn't close the windows because it would be really uncomfortable. We called the management people and they dealt with it easoly (not sure how).
My only complaint was that the fans that are provided in the unit to place in windows and circulate cool air from outside were dirty, they need to either be cleaned or replaced. Also the sofas in the living room are not that comfortable, but I think they are sleeper sofas and that's probably the reason.
Overall we loved our trip, and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!!

The condo was clean, except living room couch had a foul oder and needs to be cleaned please. Hallways had lots of stains on carpet. The Dakota Hot tub turned my 14k gold wedding band brown for 3 days. Hot tub was closed down the next morning, Have stayed at Keystone many times- it looked different this time- like no supervisor was on duty. Waited an hour for Pizza at restaurant came out to see 5 employees on a smoke break. Kidtopia was great as was the Strider race for kids. Condo was spacious w wonderful natural lighting and great views. Smelly couch was not the fault of the cleaning crew. Good beds and linen. Condo was spotless just had a smelly couch.

Fantastic time in this condo!!Loved the décor and handiness. Everything was so homey like our condo in Fl with family pic. All my grown kids and grandchild stayed here, and we all hung out here. Everything was there and extras like sleds, washing detergent, games. It was absolutely perfect. WE have gone on lots of family trips to Fl, Branson, and CO and for sure one of our all time favorites. I hope we come to Keystone next year as we will not be happy unless we stay in in #8370 Buffalo Lodge. All the furniture was great. So clean.Great memories for our family.

We visited Keystone during the transition between summer and winter sports, so most of the River Run was closed down and everything was very quiet. The property was very nice and easily accommodated our party of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids). The kitchen and bathrooms have all been recently updated and were completed to a high standard. The bedrooms and living areas are a little dated, but fairly standard for Summit County condos. All of the linens and towels were high quality. We had an issue getting the DVD player working, and never managed to complete our request for help. There were plenty of other things to do, so it wasn't a major issue for us. The community pool was nice, although it was drained half-way through our stay. The local hiking and mountain biking trails were excellent, and everyone that we met was friendly. I recommend Jersey Boys Pizza in Dillon, and the historic downtown of Frisco.

My husband, our toddler, and I came to keystone to work on a job for a week. We brought 4 guys to help us on the job. I cooked their meals at the condo, and the kitchen was amply supplied for some serious cooking! We enjoyed the River Run Village, paved bike trails, and downhill biking on the mountain. The condo was more spacious then I expected with wonderful baths and linens. We felt like it was very inexpensive for the size and features.

Everything was great! When making the reservation, everyone I spoke with was extremely helpful. The checking in process, the location of the lodge, and the accommodations were all outstanding. If we ever in Keystone again, we will DEFINITELY stay at Buffalo Lodge!

The inside of this condo is the best we have been in. The building amenities are outstanding and the proximity to all the activities is just right. Just far enough away to avoid noise and close enough to get to everything in one minute. The management company was very friendly and the entire process was extremely easy to go through.

Outstanding property. Kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms all well supplied. Excellent parking. Close proximity to gondola. Several excellent restaurants within short walking distance. Keystone River Run Ski area is a first class operation.
