Red Hawk Lodge #2274

We've stayed at the Red Hawk Lodge (in a different unit) before. We really like the location on the bike/walk path, away from the hustle-bustle, but still a close walk to shopping, restaurants and activities. We're no longer downhill skiers, but the lifts are near too. In the fall, the crowds are gone, many businesses in the village shutter for a break, the bike paths are lightly used, and the fall colors are awesome... we love it. The extra blanket in the closet for the bed was nice since modern top bedding usually consists of only a thick comforter and a sheet, so I'm either too hot or too cold all night. The blanket is a good medium. The condo itself was clean, comfortable, and convenient. A couple of small issues were (1) noise from construction of a large condo complex across the street, and (2) we never figured out how to use the satellite TV setup in the living room (the one in the bedroom worked fine after a system reboot). The living room TV had a Roku, so we added our DirecTV Stream app and were fine with that. Minor nitpicks: broken decorative faucet handle in bath (still worked OK), kitchen sink has an extra hole where a sprayer used too be, squeaky door hinges, dead remote button cell battery for sound bar. Extra AA and AAA batteries are provided.

Great Place to Stay, we had 3 of us, and utilised the fold out couch, for 12 days. Its a large apartment in a great location. Underground car park was handy as well. Only a few minutes walk to the Gondola and into the shops area. The only down side, is directly opposite there is new construction and they were working 6 days a week, 7am to 5pm and it was often very noisy.

Condo was as advertised. Building was easily walkable to the River Run Gondola or Summit Express lift. Also easily walkable to River Run commercial area for shopping and food. Covered parking was also a plus.

The check-in process with Summit County Mountain Resorts was a disaster. After multiple attempts and a late check in we finally got in. Almost missed the Friday Beer and Pairing thing. The Condo was fine, maybe needed a carpet shampoo.

Wonderful clean condo with a great view. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook simple meals. Enjoyed the view from the balcony. Best part-within walking distance from the ski lifts. Parking garage was a bous. Highly recommend this condo!

Location is great. Kitchen supplies were abundant. A few light bulbs were out, did not have extra sheets for pull out couch, and fireplace did not turn on even though pilot light was lit.

Loved everything about the rental 3xcept the beds. I literally ached in the mornings when I got up. I know you can't please everyone with a single mattress, but these beds definitely could use a mattress topper to provide a little give and comfort. I felt like I was sleeping on a concrete pad.
The rental was well stocked and furnished.

Finding a mattress that satisfies the mass amount of renters we see is just not possible, but we do like to see every guest comfortable during their stay. This place was selected due to its close proximity to River Run. It was ok but there were a few things that made it uncomfortable. The living room couch desperately needs to be replaced. You can’t even sit on it because the cushions literally droop onto the ground. Also, the size of the TV’s in the bedrooms are the size of small computer monitors.

Agreement was comically long and complicated, check in required travel to a separate property - there has got to be a better way!

Otherwise the property was great - beautiful views, right on the slopes, clean and great amenities.

This felt more like a hotel to me. Place was reasonably clean but for the price when we go back to keystone, I will just do a nice hotel room where we have full service and I would think cleaner everything (carpets, beds, etc.). Needs to be updated and didn't look or feel particularly clean. Great location though.

Aside from a few minor things the property was good. There were cheerios in the pullout, gross. The bath tub in the separate bathroom (not master) didn't drain very well. My biggest complaint was that there was only parking for one car. We couldn't fit all our ski gear, luggage and six people in one car so we had to pay for the second which was $70 a day. That was very disappointing!

We would have been more than happy to take a look at the tub for you, had we been made aware. Now that we have been notified, we will get this addressed. Unfortunately, per the HOA, we are only allowed to provide one parking pass per rented unit. This is located on the listing, in our rental agreement and in the check in instructions. We do also have information located in the digital guest booklet where overflow parking is located and the pricing per lots.

Really great place for end of August hiking and biking week. Perfect weather and no smoke on most days. Well appointed kitchen and comfortable King bed. Was happy with the value and extra room of this 2/2 for just the two of us. Be sure to shut drapes in the morning before heading out as the sun will heat up in the afternoon since condo faces west. There are 3 fans provided so it will cool by the evening.

We do provide a fan in each bedroom closet to help with the summer heat, we are glad you were able to get use out of these fans. This condo had plenty of room with two bedrooms and two baths. There is plenty of room at the table and plenty of room in front of the TV and plenty of room on the balcony. It was nice and clean and modern.

The only negative I can say is that if you have a late flight and are skiing the last day there is no where to store your luggage. You definitely need a rental car.

We got to town a little early and expected to get early check-in after calling 24 hours ahead of time and being told we could. This was not the case due to their busy cleaning schedule so we had to wait around for a couple of hours. Other than that, the rental was perfectly situated at the base of the mountain, was clean and had anything and everything you would need for a week's stay. The office staff was very polite as well.

Overall I would say that we had a great experience in renting this condo. The location was amazing and by in large the accommodations were great. If I can make any recommendations:
* The guest bedroom did not appear to have a vent and was warm for those staying in it. A fan would have been helpful to keep the air circulating.
* The kitchen would benefit from a few larger dishes, pans and cookie sheets. When making meals we had to improvise with what we had.
* A Keurig would have been nice to have as well as a convenience.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We had a problem with the heat and hot water but the property was quick to fix the problem and came back again when another problem arose. The card key to enter the parking garage is tricky and you have to swipe it just right to get it to work. I would usually go through all 3 keys until one would work.

The location is nice. Close to lift and gondola. Condo is nice. Main complaint is the mattresses need upgrading. Guest bedroom feels like a box spring mattress and master bed is almost as hard. Really really should have a little better mattress in a nicer condo/resort like this one.
One of the two hot tubs had like warm water!
I’d stay there again...but prob try another units simply because of the mattresses.

Enjoyed our stay here . It was a very reasonable priced rental which can sleep up to 6. The place was clean , and although did not use kitchen much as went out for dinner it seemed well appointed enough . Walking distance to river run gondola although ironically they closed the mountain one of the days due to high Winds yet Breckenridge was opened . Just bad luck, not the owners fault . Hot tub was nice to have l, but could be noisy and crowded with college kids at times. We will definitely rent back, as we like the diversity to ski Keystone , since we come from Colorado Springs .

Very clean 2BR with views of the gondola 100 yds away. I enjoyed the underground parking has a door that walks right out so we did not use the ski locker (which was large) and just kept gear in the car and loaded up there.

My over all stay was great. The room was clean and beautiful the view was spectacular. Every one in the area was real nice and polite. The only problems I had were my room keys did not work on the lobby door and always had to go through the garage. Then the keys would not always work there I would have to go through different keys for it to work. And I also asked for some place with big parking because I have a big truck and was kind of hard to maneuver in the garage. But other than that I would stay there again.
