Beautiful condo and great location for skiing. Plenty of room for our 10 guests and great access to the slopes with only a 10 minute hike. There were a few maintenance issues, but they were quick to respond when I texted them. The check in and check out process was communicated clearly and in advance making it easy for all of us. The condo was clean and comfortable and it offered plenty of amenities for cooking. My two major concerns were the climate control and parking. We could not get the temperature in all of the rooms to be consistent meaning it was too warm. We had to open the doors to cool off. The main concern is parking. For a penthouse location with 5 bedrooms, there should be more than one parking space. We had 10 people coming from different locations with 3 cars and we had to park 2 of them down the road. There should be at least two spaces allocated to such a large condo.Anonymous from Gainesville - Posted: 3/11/2024
Thank you for your review and feedback! We will be sure to pass this along to our maintenance team for review, unfortunately the parking is managed by the HOA and they do limit the parking to one spot per unit, no matter the size.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff

Everything was so amazing and clean quite and nice I can’t complain we had a little problem with the hot water not working in two of the bathrooms but they came straight out told us the problem we had an extra bathroom to take a shower in but the problem didn’t get fixed before we leftAnonymous - Posted: 11/13/2023

Everything was great except the elevator was out most of the trip.Anonymous from Elkhorn - Posted: 1/30/2023
Thank you for your review and we are sorry that the elevator was not working most of your trip. It is operational at this time.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Wonderful place, great location, very high-end condo 5 bedroom. I was surprised to see it outfitted with some very cheap products, a 6-million-dollar property with $100 Home Depot shower door that would not even close. A $50 faucet on the kitchen sink that was hard to shut off. Very cheap frying pans. The highly advertised snow melting balcony off the master did not work. But overall, it was a very nice place.Anonymous from Chesterfield - Posted: 1/29/2023
Thank you for your honest opinion.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Rental Unit was perfect for our group. Had everything we needed to enjoy a comfortable stay. Close access to the mountain, great unit and building amenities. Only issue was the elevator was down for 3 of our 4 days and we were on the 5th floor of the building. Was challenging with bringing luggage to the unit and the many trips up and down each day.Anonymous from Reisterstown - Posted: 1/19/2023
We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. We are grateful that you chose our company. We are so sorry to hear that you were affected by the elevator outage, it has been repaired at this time.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
We enjoyed a great 5 days with extended family at The Timbers. Adequate room and comfortable beds to sleep 14 of us. Plenty of extra bedding and towels were available. We loved the beautiful views from the large windows and balconies, comfortable, rustic decor, ample seating, cozy fireplaces, heated floors, and thoughtful details including humidifiers and fans for use in each bedroom. Excellent location on the mountain for lift access and short walk into the village. Property was clean and generally well maintained. Only potential negative is that the dishwasher could use an upgrade. The soap dispenser was broken and it leaked repeatedly during our stay so we ended up washing most dishes by hand which is no small feat for 14 hungry skiers!Anonymous from Oak Park - Posted: 1/10/2023

We loved our stay here. It was perfect for our family reunion. With 5 bedrooms and 5 1/2 baths, there was plenty of room for all of us. The views were amazing and the location was an easy walk to the village. We also enjoyed the pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna! We hope to go back again soon!Anonymous from Omaha - Posted: 10/11/2022

Overall this condo was beautiful, clean and well appointed.
The parking situation is very poor, especially when all the units in this building probably sleep a minimum of 8 people which usually requires more than one vehicle. The other issue was the two skylights upstairs had shades closed and would not open which makes both of the upstairs bedrooms feel like a dark basement.Anonymous from Arvada - Posted: 10/11/2022
We are happy that you had a good experience overall, but we are sorry to see that you are upset about the parking limitations. Unfortunately, per Keystone Resort, we are only allowed 1 parking permit for this vacation rental. We do not have additional parking passes available. If guests have additional vehicles we recommend speaking with our staff directly and we can help you find the paid overflow parking in Keystone. This information is also provided in the digital guide book that is sent to guests prior to arrival. The controls to operate the shades are on the wall, and had you notified us of this issue during your stay, we would have gladly sent our maintenance team to take address it. We appreciate our guests and recognize there are many options in the marketplace.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
We absolutely love staying in this unit. We aren't going to lie though it was awful having to do 6 flights of stairs the whole time. Other than that, it was amazing! Very clean and perfect for our team.Anonymous from Naples - Posted: 10/3/2022

Great condo. Great staff. Ice machine was not working. The morning we were rushing to leave (check out was 10) housekeeping came about 8am. No one spoke English. Finally we figured out they wanted to leave their bags of clean towels/bedding. The problem was we were packing and all our bags, coats, ski equipment were sitting by the door. This made it difficult to work around the 3/4 bags they dropped off. Then trying to take carts of luggage down to car housekeeping were using the elevator. Took forever to get elevator. Not complaining, just want you to be aware. Hopefully there can be a solution when everyone is trying to veto the road or meet a plane. But as I said our stay we had a great time. Thank you for the wonderful experience.Anonymous - Posted: 4/20/2022

No hot water first day
No cold water in Jr Master Bath first two days, including toilet
No heat in Jr Master Bath whole trip
One stove top burner was not functional.Anonymous from Villanova - Posted: 2/3/2022
Thank you for bringing these items to our attention. Unfortunately, the building experienced a water shut off on 1/27/2022 due to an emergency repair, once this was reported to us we communicated with the guest and hot water was restored later in the afternoon. We have sent our staff out to follow up on the issues with the heat and hot water and both are working. We also had them check out the stove burners and found those to be operational. We apologize for the negative experience you had and hope that you will come stay with us again soon.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
The penthouse condo was beautiful. Being an end unit, the balconies were used extensively. We would have been so much more comfortable if the thermostats were not auto set.Anonymous from FORT SMITH - Posted: 1/6/2022

The place was great! It was comfortable and spacious. We had our guys golf trip and it held all 8 of us easily. Not to mention the views from all three of the different balconies was amazing.
Would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would change is having a sleep timer available on the tv in the master bedroom. It was probably there, I just didn’t figure it out!

We stayed here for a wedding and it was fantastic! The management company was responsive. We had plenty of space and amenities for our group. We were a bit concerned with the parking situation, but it turned out to be a non issue for our 4 total cars, 3 of which were in the overflow lot. Once we got checked in, we had no need for cars since everything is walkable due to the awesome location. We would definitely rent from here again!Anonymous from Hermosa Beach - Posted: 8/5/2021

We stayed in this unit for a late March Spring Break 2018, and we had a blast. Our group was 2 families... 4 adults in their 40s and 6 kids between the age of 7 to 13. Everyone had their own space, and the unit was spotless. The kitchen is very well equipped and there was plenty of room for dining at the bar top and dining room table. You can’t beat the location for ski in ski out (assuming there’s enough snow). The Timbers common area was pretty great, too. The dads grilled out steaks one night while the kids splashed around in the pool and the moms hung out in the hot tub. I can understand what a few other guests have said about the beds, but I think the rest of the amenities make up for any of those grievances. The beds aren’t that bad. This was our first time to Keystone, but I wouldn’t hesitate to go back again and stay at this particular unit, too.Anonymous from St Louis - Posted: 12/5/2018
What a beautiful home! Everything was wonderful and would definitely rent this location again!Anonymous from Gunnison - Posted: 10/21/2018
When we arrived the fire alarm upstairs was beeping and we could not get ahold of anyone. The property was about 85 degrees but thermostats were set at 69. The master bathroom floor was so hot you could hardly stand on it. All minor issues very nice property. The only issue they have is parking and on a 5 bedroom home with only one parking pass we had to shuttle 4 other families from the parking lot.Anonymous from Limon - Posted: 10/17/2018

We loved the location and spacious accomodations. We are picky in our vacation accomodations so we don't mind paying the preimium prices but then we do have high expectations. The positives was the great location, amenities (pool, hot tub, firepit, gorgeous location), views from the many balconies and windows, private baths for each room, but negatives were uncomfortable beds, outdated linens, dated furnishings, and there was a sticking out nail in the stairs and metal transition piece coming off between living and master which I read both of these items on older reviews. Check in and out process was convenient and organized.Anonymous from Garden Plain - Posted: 8/14/2017
River run its always fun for the whole family. We enjoyed being walking distance to the lift since we do downhill biking and this is one of the best places in the country.. we stayed at Timbers 3081 which was gorgeous, the Perfect size for 10 people. The facilities are super clean and luxury. Property management system very easy and convenient.Anonymous - Posted: 7/12/2017

Fantastic location...close parking...great views..rivers and streams at your doorstep...large comfortable living room kitchen & balconies. All these are big pluses. On the minus side many maintenance issues 3/4's of motorized windows did't work...multiple electric outlets didn't work...various fans dvd players and remotes didn't work...oven worked poorly...a lot of little inconveniences that took time away from our vacationAnonymous from Golden - Posted: 7/13/2016
All electrical outlets work. They are on switches. All dvd players work. The motorized windows are small windows that are high up. All other windows work. Update Dec 2016: The living room furniture was replaced and the over was replaced.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Plenty of room for a large group. We had 7 with us and could have easily fit 4 more with plenty of space. Three great balconies. Perfect location for ski and ski out. Beautiful building as well. Loved the trip. A few minor maintenance items needed around the condo like walls being dinged up from the busy ski season. Also were missing almost all of the batteries for the remotes to the TV's. But all in all a wonderful condo and location.Anonymous from Plano - Posted: 4/26/2016
Beautiful place and perfect for our two families. The only issue we had was there were staples coming out of the carpet on the stairs. My daughter's heel got poked and was bleeding and our friends got holes in two of his socks walking down the steps. We were able to pull some of the loose ones out but this might need to be addressed further.Anonymous from Urbandale - Posted: 4/13/2016
Very good, accomodations were excellent and the Keystone resort lived up to it's reputation as a great family get away.Anonymous from Pleasant Ridge - Posted: 4/4/2016
This was my family's 3 rd stay at a vacation rental in Colorado. This property was beautiful with great views. The great room was large, beautiful and very accommodating for our 4 families totaling 9. All of the bedrooms were quite confortable. The kitchen had all that we needed. However , the ice machine on the refrigerator did not work. Oddly, most of the TV remotes did not have working batteries. However, when calling about this, they brought new batteries promptly.
We spent time downstairs at the pool and hottub and the setting was lovely and relaxing. We met another nice family barbecuing. The place was private and quite. We took some walks down by the river and into Keystone Village. I was on crutches and it was a pleasant walk. The village was nice to take a stroll, people watch, shop, or have a bite to eat. The only downside to this property was the parking. It was very convenient for one car which parked in the garage right on the property with the elevator available but other cars had to park five or 10 minutes walk away. You would have to coordinate for the safety of all the people in your party. I wouldn't want the young teenagers walking that distance at night. The management company was professional. You can tell that it is a big company because there is no flexibility and the contract rules are followed to the T. You are allowed to check in early or late for a fee up to 35$ which most places at a mom and pop type management does not charge. It was extremely off-season and most of the building was vacant. However we did take advantage of it and enjoyed the early check in and late check out. It would have been nice to have been offered an extra parking space in the nearly empty garage.
Nevertheless, our family is considering staying at this exact property again next year as it was a great condo.Anonymous from Denver - Posted: 7/8/2015
Thank you for staying with us. We apologize that the ice maker was malfunctioning. It has been repaired. Also, we often scratch our head while some guests take remote control batteries. We keep a stock of them in the condo above the fridge, but sometimes these are taken as well. Parking can be a challenge if there is more than one vehicle. However, during non-peak times we can issue additional passes. Summit County Mountain Retreats is not quite a "mom and pop" operation, but we are certainly not a large company. We manage about 115 condos in Keystone. Our policies are in place because the home owners associations require that we follow their rules. I want to clarify what the $35 fee gets you for an early checkin and late checkout. For $35 you can check-in at 9 a.m. instead of 4 p.m. This requires us to rearrange our housekeeping schedule and move employees from one day to another in order to get the property cleaned. For another $35 you get to checkout at 6 p.m instead of 10 a.m. Again, you get the benefit of almost another full day in the property and we must reschedule our staff to make this possible. Other companies require that guests pay for entire extra days to do what we allow for $35. A guest that takes advantage of both an early checkin and a late checkout, pays an extra $70. At other companies they would pay for 2 extra nights which would cost between $800 and $2500 depending on the time of the year. Update: We have modified our parking policy to allow for more than 1 vehicle during non-peak times.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Excellent location and amenities. The balconies and open layout of the condo was perfect for our large group. Only wish we were able to get more than 1 garage parking pass, and not have the remaining people with us have to park at the River Run Lot. The garage only ever had a hand full other cars parked in there.Anonymous from Milwaukee - Posted: 7/2/2015
Thank you for staying with us. We are have made some modification to the parking policy that allows more than 1 pass during non-peak times.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
We had 17 people come in and this place fit us perfectly. We could space out so we were not on top of each other, plenty of bedrooms, and the kitchen was big enough to cook for us all. Only issue to be aware of is that with a large group, the hotel will only allow one car to park in the attached garage so you will do a lot of walking to get your other cars.Anonymous from Superior - Posted: 1/13/2015
Thank you for staying with us. We have listened to our customer feedback and have made some changes to the parking policy. During non-peak times we now allow more than one vehicle.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Location and facilities are awesome.Anonymous from Arvada - Posted: 9/3/2014
Everything about reserving and staying at this rental was so easy and problem free. We are planning to reserve this unit for next summer.Anonymous from Denver - Posted: 8/13/2014
We had a wonderful stay at Timbers. The condo was as beautiful as the pictures. Everything was ready for us when we arived. The rental staff was very helpful with our requests. Views from the balconies were amazing.Anonymous from Williamsburg - Posted: 8/7/2014
Excellent place for large gatherings and large families. Beautiful views and good location to be able to walk to village and gondola. Amenities were great and entire place clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend!!!!Anonymous from New Braunfels - Posted: 6/30/2014
We loved the location of this unit and the amenities. Lots of space in the condo to spread out. Very comfortable. Will come here again.Anonymous from Avondale Estates - Posted: 4/16/2014
The Timbers is true ski in ski out. This spacious condo had plenty of room for our family. Short walk to the village where we had plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. The management company was great to deal with and very friendly.Anonymous - Posted: 3/15/2014
We had a great time at the Timbers! The pictures very accurately depict really is huge! We loved being able to ski down to the gondola. Made it easy to take a nice break and eat lunch in the condo and then go right back out! We will definitely be back!Anonymous - Posted: 1/28/2014
Property was very nice and the location was ideal. Parking is an inconvenience if you travel with more than 1 car since only 1 car can be parked on the property. It is a 1/4 mile down to the off-site parking lot, so be prepared to shuttle people back and forth.Anonymous from Aledo - Posted: 1/9/2014
We loved this condo had a great timeAnonymous from Midland - Posted: 12/30/2013
It was a very easy walk (about a block) to river run area and ski in ski out was great. we used it for a wedding and it worked out great because the social area (kitchen/tv room) had plenty of seating for our guest who would stop by. I would love to stay there again.Anonymous from Chicago - Posted: 12/21/2013
A few couple friends, my husband and I stayed here this past weekend. (October 25th and 26th) We had a WONDERFUL time! The house is huge and well accommodated. The walls are very solid and thick. This feature kept the house warm as well as quiet for those early to bed. We had a few pregnant ladies who went to bed early while the others of us stayed up late playing bored games. The ladies slept right through our loud chants and said they did not hear a thing the next morning. The 3 patios were great for enjoying coffee in the morning to watch the sun rise. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with friends or family. I will definitely be returning!Anonymous from Pueblo - Posted: 10/29/2013
Thank you for staying with us. We are glad you enjoyed the new patio furniture.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
The only critique that I have is that I feel the kitchen should have been more well- stocked with the basics. Oil, salt, pepper, flour, etc. In most rentals have gotten on vrbo, the kitchen has the essentials. That is important, especially if you have too drive a distance to the store.Beautiful rental. Probably the most beautiful I have stayed in.Anonymous from Littleton - Posted: 10/22/2013
Timbers #3081 was the perfect location for our mountain top wedding in Sept. It is within walking distance of the River Run Gondola and village restaurants/shops. Four families, adults and children found this retreat an excellent opportunity for fishing, hiking, swimming and relaxation.Anonymous from Parker - Posted: 10/1/2013
The condo has a lot of common area space. This was great for visiting and just relaxing together. It had everything you need! Just bring food and drinks and you are set!Anonymous from Highlands Ranch - Posted: 8/27/2013
Timbers is beautiful and the property is wonderful. The beds need to be upgraded along with the bedding. The kitchen is wonderful but the dishes, glassware and cutlery do not reflect the overall quality of this unit. The owners should have some outdoor furniture on the amazing decks. We would choose this property for another stay.Anonymous from Longmont - Posted: 7/31/2013
Furniture is being replaced and upgraded this fall.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
We had a great time, all attendees with their own space and good common areas for interaction. Beautiful grounds. We loved it!Anonymous from Castle Rock - Posted: 7/24/2013
This was a luxury stay at a beautiful location. The rooms were perfect, the scenery was amazing, and the staff were more than professional. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Perfect vacation!Anonymous from Spotsyvania - Posted: 6/19/2013
Thank you! We are not perfect, but it sure is nice to get things right.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Our family stay at The Timbers proved to be an excellent experience. The spacious property provided more than enough room for family time and quiet time. It was beautiful and well kept and hope to visit there again.Anonymous from Gretna - Posted: 6/16/2013
Very enjoyable..the view and area was great for family and friends.Anonymous from Hattiesburg - Posted: 2/16/2013
We love the Timbers Lodge and have stayed there before and will again. Would likely stay in this unit again too as it is absolutely beautiful and had plenty of room for our family of 9, with space to spare (excellent for big families with kids). It just needs some TLC: number of items broken that wouldn't ruin your stay but for the price you are payiing should be working; amentities such as TV guides, resort services, robes in all master rooms, labeled switches, etc. would be helpful; and other items that I won't get into as we have provided the management company with the full list and hopefully will all be fixed/addressed for the next guest. We love Keystone and the Timbers and will likely be back again :)Anonymous from Littleton - Posted: 2/11/2013
Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback and will make improvements.Summit County Mountain Retreats staff
Very spacious. Impressed all that stayed there. There is a ton of rooms and the 3 main floor rooms are decked out. The upstairs rooms are perfect for singles or kids. Ski-in-ski-out was very close to the bars/shops and the slopes.Anonymous from Littleton - Posted: 2/10/2013

We spent months researching places to stay. We are a large family of 16 (three brothers and families in tow). Normally we rent three different places all next to each other. We stumbled across this condo (not really fair to call it a condo, it is a huge 2 story house with 25 foot ceilings). We decided to try the communal living thing on this vacation. It was perfect. Plenty of room. Plenty of privacy. Grand decor and feeling and of course who could be the ski-in / ski-out. The kicker is that we paid less for this place than we would have for 3 separate non ski-in / ski-out places! My recommendation is that you DON"T rent this place, so we can rent it again next year :-)Anonymous from CORDOVA - Posted: 1/5/2013
I give a five on all accounts, the family was impressed and had relaxing time,Anonymous from Cotopexi - Posted: 9/30/2012
This was wonderful! Only thing that could be improved is the deck furniture. There was nothing! Three beautiful decks and not one chair or table. It would have added greatly. Or, if we had known of the lack of furniture, we could have brought some lawn chairs from home.Anonymous from Sioux Falls - Posted: 8/29/2012
Fantastic! Loved looking down into the living room from upstairs. We had plenty of room for everyone. The big dining room table was great for our get-together. Super cool to look at the pool down below from the balcony. Thanks for all the "little extras!" Can't wait to see how that ski in/ski out works in the winter!Anonymous from Denver - Posted: 8/3/2012
