Treehouse #107, Building G

* Couldnt look up reservation for about 5 days at one point. Had to email to make sure I still had a reservation.
* Online parking registration didnt work. Was advised that this happens - had to call in.
* Door has 3 lock options and they don't specifiy which one. After 10 minutes we figured out that you had to pull the door in while you entered the code.Struggle to lock as well.
* Daycare being run in this building.
* Very sketchy people hanging out in parking lot. Leering at my 14 year old daughter.
* Back porch photo is definitely altered. You look onto a parking lot.
* TVs didnt work first day. They sent someone next day but only fixed bedroom and didnt update me. Living room TV never fixed and they lied that someone came - they said they fixed bedroom even though it had been fixed already.
* Dust everywhere. Chip bag left in couch cubby. Soda can under table. Couch is ripped and shabby.
* Main bed was horribly lumpy.
* You had to pay for the pool table and air hockey table in photos.
Many of these are no big deal, but add them all together and it made for a VERY disappointing stay. I am irritated that Marriot would list this. Thank God Vail and surrounding areas are beautiful.

The unit had heat that never would shut off! The maintenance staff said it was because it was between floors. Thermostat was set to 65 and the unit would not get below 78 without opening all windows. In the winter this is not ideal. The radiant heaters were always on. No discount or adjustment for our stay. There was an electrical issue in the living room that took two days to fix. The clubhouse was dirty and unusable for adults. The bathrooms were not clean when we arrived. Used soap in shower and hair on the shower walls. The furniture was torn and not functional. The furniture was electric reclining sofas and they were stuck out and would not retract. A very bad tripping hazard.

- unit was almost 90 degrees when we walked in and stayed overly hot then tire stay
- not super clean and place wasn’t the nicest (furniture was really old and beat up, floors weren’t even, bathrooms smelled a little).
- if you need a place to sleep, it’s fine. And the location to the ski resorts is great.
- check in process was pretty easy except for having to register your car to park

The temperature in the condo was so hot, windows had to be open at all times and sometimes that didn't even help.
The fire alarm constantly went off and took over 24 hours to remedy.
Furniture was pretty shabby, only 1 of the 4 recliners worked and all of them had torn materials.

Thank you for your honest review and feedback, unfortunately, this property does not have air conditioning but this is not uncommon in Summit County. We do provide a fan in each bedroom closet to help with the summer heat. We always recommend opening up a window to let in that cool mountain air, it really helps cool the unit off. Please keep in mind if your unit does not have a fan just let us know and we will have one delivered to you.

The management company was great. The unit itself was okay, but the heat was not manageable with the thermostat. It was really hot we had to own a bedroom window in the middle of the night.

Overall, it is a nice place to stay. We had issues though with no hot water in the tub shower and the thermostat would not turn down the heat. It was over 74 degrees even with windows open.

Our family of 6 fit comfortably in this quaint mountain townhome. Well stocked with everything we needed. Clean and cute. Bunk beds were comfy, however the main queen bed mattress needs replaced. With two people (and small people at that) we sank into the middle. And I would have liked a curtain in the main bedroom window like in the second bedroom. The sun is bright in the morning! Closet doors need attention. They either don’t fit or the nails are popping out of the trim, so it hangs. Nice stay overall minus not sleeping great due to the bed.

Cute, clean condo. Unable to work fireplace, wifi was spotty at best, laundry was frustrating and top bunk bed mattress too thick for safe sleeping. My family loved the lazy boy sofas. Kids slept on sofas since the top bunk wasn’t safe.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We apologize for any trouble with the fireplace. Depending on the mode setting the fireplace will shut off automatically if the room meets the set temperature on the thermostat. We were unaware of a safety concerns for the top bunk bed but we will have our staff investigate this right away and get anything repaired that is needed, we appreciate you letting us know. Had we been made aware of this during this guests stay we would have sent out staff out right away.

Wonderful time!

Ways to improve are:
1. Provide the proper connections to view channels such as Netflix’s
2. Replace many of the light fixtures with updated looks, better quality, and scale for the location
3. Provide aluminum foil, Saran Wrap, plastic bags, more spices in the kitchen
4. Next bath remodel choose a tub with a deeper soak
5. Update/edit the accessories
6. Clean the upholstered bar stools
7. Note to the renters that the road up to the unit is steep and windy to have the necessary car/tires. (We we’re fine but saw others struggling in the snowy conditions)

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Unfortunately, we do not offer Netflix for guest use, but guests can bring their own personal devices to use Netflix. SCMR only provides the initial supply of coffee, creamer, salt, pepper and sugar for guest use all other items must be provided by guests. The access road to this property is paved and in standard throughout the area for cars to be fitted with snow tires or all wheel drive. We have made detailed notes of your many useful recommendations about improving our room facilities and will consider them for the future. We have also brought this to the attention of our housekeeping department to get the stools addressed on our next clean.

I used to live in Treehouse back in the 90s and was kind of apprehensive about staying there. But holy cow! The property has improved, for sure. This unit is awesome. Great 1st floor location, new everything, great TVs. Even kids toys that my urchins didn’t want to stop playing with. I’d totally recommend it. I’ll be bookmarking it to stay in again for sure. Only complaint is the 15mb internet. But everything else was perfect!
