Where to Eat in Summit County

So you’ve booked your trip to Summit County and made your travel arrangements. Now it’s time to consider how you’re going to meet one of your most basic needs in between all the fun adventures you’re going to have: Food.

Anyone that has been to Summit County can attest to the fact that it has some of the best food. Well made and good quality. It’s a special thing. And we’re here to give you the lowdown on what you can do for food while you’re in the area.

Eat In

Sure, this isn’t very flashy, but it’s a viable option for any of our guests, especially if you’re looking to save a little dough. But, enough with the puns, and let’s get on with how this works.

All of our vacation rentals offer a kitchen, and over 95% of our vacation rentals offer a full kitchen. On top of that, we also stock each kitchen with the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home. Each homeowner may even add extra items like crockpots, blenders, waffle irons and more (check your vacation rentals list of amenities for details). So, you’ve got it all, except food of course, to make a great meal.

So, where can you get food? Well, the first option we present is one of convenience. Have your groceries delivered! Yes–you can have your groceries delivered to your vacation rental the day of your arrival. There are several grocery delivery services for the area. This may sound like too much luxury, but when traveling into the snow-filled mountains you may want to avoid any extra driving.

For those looking for a more traditional grocery shopping experience there are other options and for ease of reading, we’ve listed each one below along with its location. We suggest picking the grocery store that’s on the way to your vacation rental. If you’ve read your check-in instructions then you know where your vacation rental is located!

And, just to give you an idea of location, we’ve put each of the cities these stores are located in on a map along with our office. If you’re coming in from Denver, you’ll most likely be traveling on Interstate 70.

  • Rich Sweeney says:

Haywood Cafe is hands down the best breakfast AND lunch. Great menu variety, great service and best food!

For dinner I pick Luigi’s. Ask about the chef’s special – different every night.

    • The award winning Keystone Ranch Restaurant is considered to be the best fine dining experience in Summit County. A close second is the restaurant at Ski Tip Lodge, which wins for ambience, and was a former 1860’s stage stop for those traveling by stage over Argentine Pass. Great date night restaurant with excellent food and service.
